Robitronic to release Scalpel sport version

Robitronic Scalpel sport version

At the show on the Robitronic stand was this Scalpel sports prototype that features an red anodised aluminium chassis plate, red anodised aluminium suspension arms and a fibre glass t-bar. All this of course makes for a rather ugly alternative to the beautiful carbon fibre version, albeit a cheaper alternative. One thing is for sure, if Robitronic had come out with this version of the car first i dont think the Scalpel would have been as well received as it has been.

Hot Bodies 1/12th scale prototype

Hot Bodies 1/12th scale prototype

Photographed by our partners RC Forum, on the show booth of Hot Bodies/HPI, is this prototype 1/12th scale car. Nothing is mentioned about this car in the recent releases on any of the manufacturers websites which would lead one to think that it may be a long way off completion although from the photo the car looks ready. The chassis itself looks very similar to the Associated RC12L4 but its very hard to differentiate between the current breed of 1/12th scale cars.

UPDATE: More pictures of the 1/12th scale added… content

Hong Nor Mini CRT-5 truggy

Hong Nor CRT-5

Previously we showed you some pictures of the Jammin Mini CRT-5 truggy, well here is its close relative (basically the same car), the Hong Nor CRT-5. The car is shaft driven 4wd and it seems nicely spec’d with metal shock towers, carbon fiber radio plate and c-hub suspension up front. The mini class is shaping up to be pretty cool with a lot of manufacturers already involved and these cars don’t hang about either on the track, with the ones i have seen so far, tearing up the dirt.

Hot Bodies release the Lightning 2 Pro Evo

Well we present you with the Lightning 2 Pro Evo, which is a natural development on the previous version with changes including new stiffer chassis plate, different shock towers for more tuning possibilities and a lot of other parts made more durable like bearing blocks and parts of the drive train.

Hot Bodies is aiming to jump feet-first into this category with a top-level, championship-quality kit that anyone will be able to use.

German manufacturer Shepherd are present at the toy fair and are showing off their new Velox 07 1/8th scale 4wd chassis (click image for bigger pic). This will be the first results of Shepherds hook up with Robert Pietsch that we announced 2 weeks ago.

UPDATE: Patrick Schäfer from Shepherd has been in touch and put us right on the whats new on the car, which is basically everything. Hit more to read the full list of changes… content

The car hasn’t been seen until this point and it looks pretty sweet indeed. It appears to be shaft drive, and have a similar configuration to the JConcepts BJ4. We hope to get more information soon.
