Maclan Racing MMax Pro competition brushless ESC

Maclan Racing MMax Pro competition brushless ESC

Coming from Maclan Racing is the new MMax Pro 160A competition brushless speed controller. Developed from the ground up over the last 18 month the speedo utilises an ultra-high performance 32-bit CPU as its central processing brain and compared to the last generation 8-bit CPUs, the 32-bit CPU in the MMax Pro ESC runs at much higher clock speed and bandwidth. The speedo utilises a completely redesigned all-new algorithm firmware to maximise its strength while offering the smoothest throttle and the strongest yet precise braking. The controller offers 12 pre-loaded profiles for all on-road and off-road applications including Stock blinky and low-turn Modified racing. All parameters are adjustable using the on-board USB port and Maclan’s MS Windows-compatible software. Other features include a full aluminium case for improved cooling, it comes with a high-voltage 30mm turbo fan, adjustable 6V to 7.4V high-voltage BEC system and data logging capability. The controller will hit the stores by end of October.

Hobbywing EzRun Max10 ESC & 36xx sensorless motors

Hobbywing EzRun Max10 ESC & 36xx sensorless motors

Hobbywing have introduced the new EzRun Max10 sensorless brushless speed controller and the EzRun 3652 and 3660 G2 sensorless brushless motors. Starting with the controller, designed for bashers and fun racing, the Max10 utilises a range of protection features such as ESC capacitor thermal, water and also over temperature protection for the motor – the latter is taken care off by an additional wire that plugs right into motors such as the new EzRun 36xx G2 series. Furthermore the controller makes use of a heavy duty 6V/7.4V BEC system andit  sports a protected on/off switch to ensure reliability even in dusty conditions. The 3S LiPo-compatible speedo can be adjusted using the internal set button but also HW’s LED and LCD program box as well as the WiFi module.

Hobbywing XR10 Pro 1S 1/12th scale speed controller

Hobbywing XR10 Pro 1S 1/12th scale speed controller

Hobbywing have introduced the 1S 1/12th scale version of their popular Xerun XR10 speed controller. 6mm shorter and 12g lighter than is predecessor V3.1 1S, the controller, that made a first public appearance at the recent IFMAR Electric On-road World Championships, allows for better placement within the chassis while also granting for easier weight distribution adjustments. The machined black alloy case houses a built-in switch and a capacitor module to further save weight and space while in terms of software the 1S variant sports five pre-sets commonly used in 1/12th scale racing while the optional LCD Program Box and WiFi Module make further adjustments of the parameters easy. The 1S-only speedo is usable without an external receiver battery as it sports a switched 6V/3A BEC system.

Carisma V70R sensored micro brushless ESC & motor

Carisma V70R sensored micro brushless ESC & motor

Carisma have released first images and information on their all-new V70R sensored micro brushless speed controller and motor. Purpose-designed for 1/14th to 1/16th scale mini and micro buggies the speed controller is of very compact dimensions with the sensored design allowing for exceptional low-speed throttle smoothness and thus car control without sacrificing performance when it is needed. The software supports blinky and turbo timing options, meaning the speedo is usable in stock and open class racing and the throttle and brake settings can be fine-tuned to the driver’s liking. Depending on the gearing the controller can be used with up to 3S LiPo battery packs and it fully support Carima’s new Racing Mini sensored brushless motors that are available in a milder 4600kv variant and also as high-power 5350kv motor. The motors measure 24×43.6mm and they utilise a 3mm shaft. In addition a programming box is available separately for easy adjustment of the controller. The new motors already prove their performance by taking the top 3 spots at the recent MicroX race with the controller obtaining P2 and P3 overall in the hand of Craig Harris and Keith Robertson.
