Reedy SC550 Brushed RTR ESC

Reedy have introduced their new SC550 Brushed RTR ESC. Water-resistance means maximum reliability and compact footprint allows for easy installation in most 1:10 vehicles. Drivers can opt for forward/brake/reverse or forward/brake only operation as well as LiPo or NiMH modes, depending on the type of battery being used. World-class reliability, user-friendliness and an economical price make the SC550 an excellent alternative to costlier and more complicated brushless systems.

Team C brushless motor bearing tool

Team C have introduced a bearing tool for electric brushless motors. It is designed to help removing and installing the ball race that is pressed into the motor can without harming the bearing or the can. The tool is made from aluminium, it is of a lightweight design and comes orange anodised for looks and durability.

Hobbywing Xerun XR8 Plus brushless speed controller

Coming soon from Hobbywing is the Xerun XR8 Plus brushless speed controller for 1/8th scale applications. The 6S LiPo-compatible ESC offers a highly efficient heat dissipation system, a 15A BEC system with selectable 6V or 7.2V output and an advanced electronic switch with improved durability compared to standard mechanical switches. The controller is usable with sensorless brushless motors as well as Hobbywing’s forthcoming new 1/8th sensored motor which can be run in a so called full-sensored mode. Tresrey V2 electric brushless motors

New World-wide Tresrey distributor VBC Racing introduce the new Tresrey V2 electric brushless racing motors. Designed collaboration with Dualsky, the V2 motor designed for ultra light weight and high power output. Also the sensor socket of this motor is installed perpendicularly to the motor shaft so it is easier to arrange the sensor cable more compact on the car. The motor is available in a range of winding from 5.5T to 8.5T modified and as 17.5T stock variant.

Reds Racing TX120 speed controller – Preview

Italian company Reds Racing have announced the soon release of their long-awaited TX120 brushless competition speed controller. Designed with modified and stock racing as well as on-road and off-road classes in mind the speedo will feature advanced tuning options, an ultra low-profile billet aluminium case, an add-on 30mm fan unit and more. Reedy low-profile connectors & 13-gauge silicone wire

Team Associated have introduced the new Reedy 13-gauge Pro silicone wire and low-profile caged bullet-type connectors. Starting with the connectors, they feature a flat top for easy soldering and a versatile caged design that easily adapts to the slight variation in socket sizes found among different battery types and manufacturers. A snug fit and silver plating means less power loss due to resistance while 14mm length makes them a suitable for use with most socket style batteries. The connectors are available in 4mm and 5mm variants and in 2-piece or 10-piece packages. The new 13-gauge Pro silicone wire is a pure copper and pre-tinned variant for easy soldering. A heavy-duty silicone insulation protects the wire from cuts while maintaining maximum flexibility. The special diameter makes it usable for both on-road and off-road applications as it offers the best compromise between resistance and weight. The wire is available in 1m or 30m coils.

LRP iX8 V2 1/8th scale brushless speed controller

LRP have introduced the updated iX8 V2 brushless speed controller for 1/8th scale applications. The second generation of this competition speedo features new hardware components and the v2.6 Team firmware. Overall the controller will stay cooler during the run for more consistent performance and improved brake control which is further helped by the new BR2 brake setting. For a faster take off the ESC’s software also comes with new and more aggressive Initial Drive settings. The package is rounded out by a full set of accessories including a fan unit and pre-soldered power wires.
