Hobbywing QuicRun WP 880 Dual Brushed ESC

Coming from Hobbywing is their new QuicRun WP 880 Dual Brushed electronic speed controller. The ESC allows to operate two brushed motors simultaneously, making it the ideal choice for dual motor monster trucks. Adjustable PWM frequency and advanced DEO/freewheeling technology ensures exceptional throttle linearity and driving feel while fine-tuneable drag brake rates and brake force rates provide great stopping power. 15 programmable parameters allow to adapt the controller to a wide range of vehicles and applications and thanks to being dust and waterproof, the controller allows to go everywhere in nearly all weather and track conditions. A separate PRG/FAN port on the ESC allows to power and additional fan unit for maximised cooling performance and to connect an optional LED program box for ESC programming.

Surpass Rocket Taurus 1/8th brushless motors

Coming from Surpass Hobby are their new Rocket Taurus 1/8th scale electric brushless motors. They utilise a high-strength 7075 aluminium case in a red and black bi-colour design and feature a special winding technology for exceptional power and efficiency of the 4-pole motors. Highest quality components such as US-imported copper and Japanese ceramic bearings ensure high power output as to heavy-duty solder terminals. Other features include a fully rebuildable design, CCW or CW timing adjustment, and the ability to mount the morons using either two M4 or four M3 screws. The Rocket Taurus series motors are available in a open can 4268 on-road variant in 2700kV, 2350kV, 2000kV, 1850kV or 1550kV specification and also as 4274 off-road variant in 2200kV, 1950kV, 1700k, 1500kV or 1400kV specs. Both motors are designed to comply with IFMAR, ROAR, EFRA and BRCA rules.

Intellect 2019 LiHV HV4 silicon-graphene battery range

UK Intellect distributors Schumacher have introduced the new 2019 range of LiHV competition battery packs. The updated LiHV HV4 Silicon-Graphene based packs will display a higher voltage and power than 2018 models while offering improved cycle time when charged at 1C rates. They can be charged at a higher C rating however, with less risk of damage to the pack. LIHV technology has the ability to be charged to 4.35v per cell, but normal racing regulations allow up to 4.2v so LiHV are considered much safer. To address market demands two options nominally are available in the form of Hi Power and Long RunTime packs. The range includes a 6000mAh high power LCG standard pack (22.5mm height, 270g), a 7000mAh long runtime standard pack (22.5mm, 270g), a 7600mAh lightweight stock standard pack (25.1mm, 305g), and a 8400mAh high power big stock standard pack (25.1mm, 330g).
