Yannick Aigoin's RB C6

A while ago we mentioned that TWF8 was auctioning the actual engine that Yannick Aigoin nearly won the World Championships with. Well that auction has now started and at the time of writing the highest bid was at $200. Whats great about this is that everyone is a winner, the winning bidder recieves this amazing RB C6 with exhaust system, kindly donated by Rody Roem of RB Products, and all the money goes to UNICEF. A great cause in this season of giving so please go over to TWF8 and try to win this bid the auction runs until the 25th of December.

Werks Team Line B7 .28

Werks Racing have just released their Team Line B7 .28 competition engine for truggy racing. Developed by Matt Goasch and Michael Sharwin the engine is claiming to push out nearly 3HP, which is quite an extraordinary claim. Its available now for $449.

At almost 3 horsepower, you could say it’s a B7 21 on steroids. If you want the most for your racing truck, this is your engine. 2.95HP 38,000 RPM

GR Racing tuned OS12TZ

GR Racing OS12TZ

Engine tuners seem to be a dime a dozen these days with anyone who can use a dremel and who has ever taken their engine apart claiming to be a motor maestro. That said, i was impressed with work done by GR Racing, a Korean tuner that takes his dremel and know how to many different types of engines including this OS12TZ 3-port. This engine has had tear dropping done to the liner, ceramic main bearing, crankshaft lightened and modified, crankcase work and even has a job done on the combustion chamber, definitely looks good, the proof of course is on the track.

Check out all the work done in the full picture set on RC Forum who have the scoop.

Novarossi Plus 12-3SCT/3ST

Novarossi Plus 12-3SCT/3ST

The Novarossi Plus 12-3SCT and ST have been upgraded to include an 11.9mm diameter crankshaft. The original version of this 2.1cc motor included an 11.5mm diameter crankshaft but for whatever reason it has been made larger and so the main bearings in both the standard and ceramic versions have also been updated. Now you know.

Yannick Aigoins RB C6 BB Worlds engine

Yannick Aigoins RB C6 BB

TWF8.ws have gotten their hands on the RB C6 BB engine that Yannick Aigoin almost won this years World Championship in Indonesia with. The fuel line rubbing on the flywheel was the cause of his demise at the race but thats not important here, what is important is that there are plenty of pictures from all the internal parts of this engine as well as an interview with Yannick himself about the engine and its preperation. And best of all, there is an auction running on the site between the 10th and 25th of December so you can actually own this motor.

You can view the full write up here.

Team Orion Wasp CRF 12 Josh Cyrul edition

Team Orion Wasp CRF Josh Cyrul

Team Orion are coming out with a Josh Cyrul edition engine combo that includes WASP CRF .12 engine, exhaust system and CRF clutch (for HPI/Mugen??) all packed together in what seems to be a radio bag. I dont think the engine has been modified, the fact that it all comes together is what makes it special. If you want it, it comes out in Japan in December.

INS box by Novarossi

INS box by Novarossi

It seems Novarossi were sick of having to use either Serpent’s or Picco’s INS box on their engines so they decided to copy make their own version. Available in Novarossi blue, it sure stands out from the current crop of INS box’s with its funky colour and I’m sure it does what its meant to, but at the end of the day its just yet another copy of the original version Serpent spent so much money and effort initially researching.
