T-Works Kyosho 5.8mm aluminium pivot balls

T-Works have introduced a set of 5.8mm 7075-T6 pivot balls for Kyosho buggies such as the RB6, RZ6 and ZX6. Made from high-quality material and coming hard-anodised for wear the lightweight parts replace the somewhat heavy kit steel balls to achieve an overall lower weight while also reducing unsprung masses. The balls come in sets of four.

JConcepts have introduced their all-new precision hobby knife handle. The machined aluminium multi-piece design comes assembled and ready to accept any high-quality aftermarket blade. The clamp and collar act together to support the blade which secures tightly into place. The main handle is lightweight and has ample room to store replacement blades inside. The end cap features a knurled surface for an easy on and off while the main cover quickly spins into place to protect the blade and user from danger. The knife handle is available in blue or black anodising.

Made for the Team Associated B6-series buggies and coming from JConcepts are aluminium bellcranks and a steering rack. Starting with the bellcranks, the lightweight, servo saver-less aluminium steering system is CNC-machined and replaces the stock plastic components. The steering bellcranks come in a blue or black anodised finish and sport machined chamfered silver edges and engraved JC logos. The assembly provides a more rigid steering system with increased steering feel and response especially on high-bite surfaces such as astro turf and carpet.

Coming from Tekno RC is a complete line of Low Frequency springs that will further improve the handling of the NB/EB48.3 vehicles. The new spring design improves traction by reducing chassis oscillation on rough track surfaces and large jump landings. Overall stability of the vehicle is improved, providing better forward grip, increased corner speed and quicker lap times. With additional coils as well as a larger wire diameter, the new LF springs feature a bronze gun metal finish with a colour indicator for easy spring identification. The springs fit all variants of the NB48 and EB48 vehicles, they include two springs per package and come they come in six hardnesses for the front and five hardnesses for the rear

Serpent SRX2 MidHybrid 2WD buggy kit

Serpent have introduced the SRX2 MidHybrid 2WD buggy kit. Designed to excel on a multitude of surfaces such as astro turf, carpet and also clay and dirt, the buggy comes with two different gearboxes, a stand-up transmission for low to medium traction tracks and a laydown gearbox for medium to high-bite tracks. The buggy utilises a hard-anodised 2mm 7075-T6 aluminium chassis with a separate aluminium pickup plate and included with the kit also comes a high-torque ball differential, a redesigned carbon fibre battery plate and chassis stiffener as well as a new MidHybrid bodyshell. The suspension components were taken over from the previous SRX2 and also the proven 4-gear stand-up and 4-gear laydown gearboxes will fit the kit for even greater versatility. The MidHybrid, runner-up at this year’s EFRA Euros in the hands of Jörn Neumann, will become available by end of October with upgrade sets for the transmission and chassis, to update older spec buggies, to follow soon.

SMJ T4'16 +5mm front bumper

Speedmaster Japan have introduced their new +5mm front bumper for the Xray T4’16. Offering additional 5mm of foam in the front, the bumper better suits front-mounted bodyshells while doing away with the need to glue additional foam strips to the standard bumper to achieve propper body support. On top of this the bumper is also made from a much stronger foam material, improving overall crash resistance and chassis protection in the event of a direct hit while the updated design also gives better tyre clearance at full steering lock. The bumper will hit stores very soon and it is understood that it also fits Xray’s latest T4’17 kit.

Sanwa MT-44 2.4GHz 4-channel radio system

Sanwa have introduced the all-new MT-44 4-channel 2.4GHz radio system. The follow-up model of the popular MT-4S offers a completely new case design with a large white back-lit display and an adjustable handle that can be popped out for transpiration and retracted for normal use. The telemetry transmitter offers a range of functions such as ambient temperature display, MicroSD card support for extended model memory, and it makes use of lightweight AAA 3-cell or 1S LiPo batteries for an ultra light weight.  The MT-44 supports Sanwa’s SHR and SSR modulation and it is compatible with most FH4T and FH3 receivers. Other features include chargeability via an USB port and the radio system will become available including a range of receivers such as the RX-482, RX-481, RX-472 or RX-471. The MT-44 is set for a release in November.
