Exclusive details on Xray’s RX8 2016 coming soon

With the all new Xray RX8 2016 being teased back in January, the car is now close to being released. Once again Red RC has the full exclusive for the new car’s release which will include a behind the scenes look at the car’s design and production, followed by an interview with the car’s designer Martin Hudy and culminating in the full release details of this new 1/8th onroad challenger. Intech BR-6 optional new gear ratio

Intech have announced the release of an optional new gear ratio for the BR-6 nitro and electric buggies. An optional 40T crown gear with 12T pinion gear for the front and rear differentials and a 46T steel spur gear with 13T clutch bell for the centre differential give a final gear ratio of 11.79. All gears are machined from the rigid steel and lightened with milling and holes and come laser-engraved with the teeth numbers which allows for quick and easy identification. These durable gears increase drivability on low traction and bumpy track conditions to improve lap times even in the most extreme racing conditions. The complete gear set includes a pair of lightweight 40T crown gears and 12T pinion gears, a 46T lightened steel spur gear, a 13T clutch bell, and an aluminium centre diff plate spacer for extra spur gear clearance from the chassis.

Xray XB2 composite battery straps

New from Xray for the XB2 Dirt Edition are two new battery straps made from a special composite material. Available in two different hardnesses for various track conditions, the standard (medium) version is recommended for very-low to low-medium traction tracks while the hard version is best suited to low-medium to medium-high traction tracks.

Xray Lightweight XB2 body shell

Xray introduce the 0.5mm thick light weight version of their high-performance, low-profile aerodynamic XB2 body. Used by the Factory Team in medium to high-traction conditions the thinner material ensures that the car has less weight at the highest point for less roll, increased cornering speed, and more aggressive handling.

Tekno RC XT 3-piece hex wrench set

Tekno RC’s popular XT hex wrenches are now also available as a 3-piece set including 1.5mm, 2.0mm and 2.5mm tools. All make use of ergonomically-shaped alloy handles and they utilise new, harder and more durable tool tips that are also available separately to update existing tools. New Serpent SRX8 teaser images

Serpent have released a couple of teaser images of their forthcoming SRX8 1/8th scale nitro off-road buggy. According to Serpent the vehicle will feature “stunning standard equipment and cool innovations” while being “performance packed and made to last”. Some of the visible features include a newly designed radio box, updated linkages, as well as the Avenger bodyshell and a new flat medium downforce wing as standard. More information should become available by the end of the month.

Exotek D413 15 degree alloy C-hubs

Made for HB’s D413 1/10th 4WD buggy are heavy duty aluminium C-hubs from Exotek. Offering an increased caster of 15 degree and being machined from high-quality 7075 aluminium the hubs are ideal for high-grip astro and carpet racing. Machined down to 5.5 grams per hub for lightness they are still much stronger and stiffer than the stock plastic hubs for optimum suspension action and reduced play. They come polished and anodised in factory orange, are laser etched for easy left right identification and accommodate an opitonal set screw for the hinge pin.

Vision Racing TLR 8ight carbon fibre steering link

Vision Racing have introduced the “2.5mm long” carbon fibre steering link for the TLR 8ight line of 1/8th scale vehicles. The lightweight part comes cut from high-quality carbon fibre, it features installed ball bearings and fits the current 8ight 4.0, 8ight-E 4.0, and 8ight-T 4.0 as well as all previous 8ight series vehicles.
