Kyosho MP9 suspension weights

Kyosho mastermind Yuichi Kanai has released a handful of pictures of suspension weights for the MP9 1/8th buggy in the wake of the upcoming 1/8th nitro buggy World Championships in Argentina. The parts are clamped to the front steering knuckles and rear uprights using set screws. Although automotive textbooks explain that adding weight to unsprung parts such as suspension components is a bad idea pre-Worlds testing revealed that the additional weight may help with one-track performance and drivability. Although the 10g and 15g parts sport a part number it is not clear if they are a one-off for the meeting or if they will hit the stores later.

Reflex Racing RSD6 servo mount & shock springs

Reflex Racing introduce new option parts for the RSD6 conversion in the form of an aluminium floating servo mount and additional shock springs. Starting with the servo mount the parts is CNC-machined from aluminium and comes black anodized. It is designed to equalize the flex of the chassis side to side and unlike the carbon fiber servo mount, the aluminum variant does not rotate in hard collisions helping the car track straighter. Also new are the RSD TC6 17.0lb and 15.0lb springs. The harder ‘orange’ variant is best used on high grip asphalt tracks whereas the softer 15.0lb ‘pink’ spring is very similar to the Yokomo pink spring and should best work as carpet racing and medium grip asphalt front spring. They work with Reflex Racing’s RSD6 conversion, the Associated TC6 line and similar vehicles.

New Sweep Racing GT wheels

Sweep Racing are proud to introduce their new GT class competition wheels. They are based around the ROK rims that are of greater rigidity and stiffness to provide higher corner speeds and more stability. The tire itself is moulded in Sweep’s EXP rubber compound that needs zero run-in time and sports a very high grip level. Sandwiched between rim and tire is the LS full face insert that makes for better traction and consistency as it covers the entire contact area of the tire while keeping the overall weight low at the same time. The wheels are designed to fit most of today’s GT chassis.
