Carson Specter Race Edition buggy

Carson have released a race edition of their 1/8th scale gas powered buggy, the Specter. This latest version has improved performance and looks compared to the standard version and features a lot of additional tuning parts such as rear anti-roll bar, carbon fibre front stiffener, radio plate and middle differential stiffener, fuel reservoir splash guard, tuning drive shaft on front axle, aluminum front and rear shock-absorbers, all wishbone supports and chassis stiffener made of aluminum, and finally a three-jaw race clutch. The car comes complete with a clear body shell.

SH Engines Buggy Prototype

Chinese R/C engine manufacturer SH is to enter the already crowded 1/8th scale off road buggy market. Pictures of the car were shown on Japanese website RC-Magazine along with a brief introduction, however i couldnt work out anything from what was written so currently we only have the pictures to go by.

UPDATE: We were mailed by a Red RC reader who watched the video and let us know that the car features the engine leaned over a few degrees inboard to bring weight closer to the centre line, the front of chassis has a “twin” kickup, the rear suspension has unique semi-trailing/double wishbone configuration and has a rear brake system mounted on the rear gearbox.

Tamiya DT-02 Limited Edition

Tamiya have announced that they will release a special edition of their popular DT-02 2WD off-road buggy featuring a simple, user-friendly chassis with exciting performance. Xray NT1 Flywheel Collars

Xray have released 2 different flywheel collars for use with the company’s XCA clutch used on the Xray NT1. Designed for use with the most popular motors, a 7mm version has been released for Novarossi-based engines while for Picco-based engines a 6mm version is available.

Jammin 16mm X-1 Shock Absorbers

Jammin Products has released a limited amount of the new 2008 Super Big Bore 16mm shocks for the Jammin 1/8th line of Buggies and Truggies. The design allows the shock to be mounted to either the buggy or truggy by just utilizing different shock ends. Many new features have been included in this design including reinforced bladders, precision pistons, low friction assembly, threaded shock bodies and Teflon coated shock bodies.

Jammin CRT .5 Mini RTR Is Shipping

We showed you the CRT-5 back in January when it was announced and at the time Jammin promised a Ready-to-Run version would follow. Well OFNA/Jammin have now announced that the RTR version is now shipping and it will come complete with standard full size servos, the new Jammin .12 Pull Start Engine and an OFNA Futaba Radio system. The CRT.5 RTR offers pro kit performance with RTR convenience with features like polished pipe, sealed diff, long arm suspension and C-hub steering, plus Upgrade RC’s decal designs in three colour choices (red, blue & green).

Carson have released this after-run oil, formulated to ensure your motor will stay in a top-condition and is protected from corrosion. Just insert a few drops into the carburettor and into the combustion chamber after driving and spin the motor. Sold in a 50ml bottle.

Carson Battery pack Accessories

Carson have released a number of new products for assembling battery packs such as these soldering connectors, available in copper, gold and platinum. Sold in packs of 8, these soldering connectors are capable of carrying very high current and due to their design ensure that you have a 100% contact to your cell, which provides a very low contact resistance. Also new from Carson are 4mm gold contacts that are sold in packs of 2x sockets, 2x connectors and shrinking tube and have been designed for optimal conductivity, due to their low contact resistance and ability to stay free of oxidation.
