JConcepts Mambos in green & cold compounds

JConcepts have released their Mambos wide-body RC drag racing tire in a super soft green compound for cooler days and their popular gold compound for 90º+ temps or for prepped surfaces. At the heart of this design is the 2.2 x 3.0” configuration but stretched out to create a larger contact patch. Forward traction is the name of the game and the goal of the larger area, in theory, gives a racer a slight advantage in the ‘hook and go’ department. One of the tricky aspects to drag racing rear tires is tire expansion and controlling this aspect of power and acceleration. The JConcepts design team thickened the entire carcass, added new inner sidewall ribbing on the inside and outside and then an industry first waffle inner weight reduction pattern. The waffle pattern accomplishes 2 things, weight reduction and provides some resistance to expansion to split some difference between a heavily restricted belted tire and a tire with no inner structure.

JConcepts Dotek drag bashing rear rire

Dotek by JConcepts is the latest wide-body, treaded tire built specifically for RC Drag Racing and Bashing. At the heart of this design is the 2.2 x 3.0” configuration but stretched out to create a larger contact patch. Forward traction is the name of the game and the goal of the larger area, in theory, gives a racer a slight advantage in the ‘hook and go’ department. Adding the Dotek tread pattern added a touch of versatility to the design for dusty areas, concrete sessions, and conceptually more bashing requirements. The directional nature, marked by L and R on the tire feature low-profile padded and intentionally carved areas to provide additional hang-up to lock into un-prepped areas where dirt and debris are found. Radial security on the centre of the tire provides additional ‘beef’ to the design to give low RPM burnouts more rubber to go the distance.

Pro-Line Demolisher 2.8″ all-terrain tires mounted

Introducing the Demolisher 2.8″ tires from Pro-Line that feature extremely sharp chevron style tread that will bite into any surface. Just like full-size monster truck tires that have been modified and grooved for maximum performance, the Demolisher tires feature scale grooves in between the chevron style tread for exceptional scale realism and extremely sharp tread. As you should expect from Pro-Line, the all-new Demolisher tire is made from soft and sticky rubber that will give your Monster Truck maximum wheelie-popping traction. They come pre-mounted on a true next-generation 2.8″ wheel design from Pro-Line, the Raid 2.8″ Removable Hex Wheel for all 2.8″ tires. Imagine being able to easily change the offset of your wheel to fit different applications by simply changing out the hex. You can go from the included 12mm narrow offset (2wd Stampede/Rustler Rear) to the included 12mm wide offset hexes (2wd Stampede/Rustler Front and 4×4 Stampede/Rustler Front and Rear) quickly and easily.

JConcepts Tusk & Hunk Class 1 tires

JConcepts continues to muscle new scale off-road items into the market with the introduction of the Tusk 1.9” tire. After successful class 1 tires such as the Landmines and Bounty Hunters, the team focused on a new design with learned information by driving, crawling, and important input from a heap of development time by the JConcepts team. The team retained the 4.19” sizing making it an approved and scale-based tire, but the tread layout went under the scope for changes. The Tusk has an animal like instinct while it makes its way over terrain with hefty lugs and sidewall support. The centre of the tire starts with a V-shaped lug with multiple steps to the sides for additional grip while the green compound rubber flexes and contours to the landscape. The design team added large, staggered traction bars off the side continuing the V-shape pattern and while the shorter version steps in conjunction with the centre lug, the longer version fills a void underneath and meets up near the centre line of the tire.

Pro-Line Front Runner drag tire & Showtime wheel

Pro-Line is ready to change the No Prep Drag game once again with a true next-generation front tire designed for maximum performance, the Front Runner Tire. Named after the front tires found in full-size drag racing, it was built from the ground up to be as lightweight and narrow as possible while still maintaining a scale appearance. The outside of the tire features a standard 2.2″ bead, so it will look like all the regular front tires from the outside, but the inside of the tire has a 2.7″ flat bead for reduced rubber weight. Combine it with Pro-Line’s an all-new Showtime Front Runner 2.2″/2.7″ black drag front wheel featuring a scale spoke pattern that mimics full-size drag wheels. Designed to be super lightweight and narrow for maximum performance, they are a strong and lightweight 12mm hex wheel making them the ideal choice for performance drag racing.

JConcepts Double Dees V2

JConcepts have released an updated version of their popular Double Dees. for 1/10th buggy, called the V2 and introduced a 2wd front for the first time. Originals are often hard to beat, in the case of the Double Dees V2, every attempt at improving was considered. The carcass was revised for a broader carcass for a stout feel in straight-line tracking ability. The slightly taller sidewall provides a little cushion for bumps and terrain irregularities. The inner carcass webbing has also been designed to incorporate a more traditional overlapping X pattern concept to provide the all-around support needed at high-speed. The V2 rear tire is perfect for a variety of track surfaces and when conditions are unknown, the Double Dees are always a safe choice. In the case of the Double Dees V2 as a 2wd front, it didn’t exist, until now. For years, racers handmade Double Dees front tires to increase steering response and provide the ultimate match for the rear tire in loose and loamy conditions. For the new front tire, the carcass was designed for a slightly narrower patch to control steering response and allow the front to rear combo to work in unison.

Pro-Line Convict 1/8th buggy race tire

Introducing the all-new Convict 1:8 Buggy race tire that represents Pro-Line’s next-generation version of the World Champion Fugitive tire. The Fugitive was developed to be the longest-lasting race tire ever produced and it proved that by winning the World Championship in the harshest condition while still having tread leftover. But for most racetracks and in most conditions, you just don’t need that much tread. Enter the new Convict, a lightweight and more versatile version of the popular Fugitive. Made from Pro-Line’s latest generation carcass shape for improved bump handling and features smaller and more spaced-out tread, so it has the speed for qualifying while still having the right amount of tread to last long main events. Strategically placed small connecting bars improve the stability of the tire tread, which is especially important when used in softer compounds.
