Martini & Wilck win at Charity Race Italy

Martini & Wilck win at Charity Race Italy

The Charity Race was held for the second time at the RC Landia facilities in Scandiano, northern Italy. The race organizers had decided to repeat the success from last year, where around 100 entries, and a big Charity lottery collected a lot of money to a local children’s hospital. Drivers from all over Europe joined the race, as the competition remained very strong, similar to that of an ETS event. Xray and Hudy were the major sponsors of the event as in the cooperation with the Italian distributor Sprint RC both donated the most of the prizes.

ROAR Region 4 Off-road Championships report

ROAR Region 4 Off-road Championships report

The 2012 ROAR Region 4 Off-road Championships were hosted by the ever increasingly popular Shiverville R/C Raceway in High Springs, FL. The Shiverville track crew once again went all out with an amazing layout and easily the smoothest outdoor surface to date. With ROAR events losing a bit of their luster over the past few years, Shiverville Raceway stepped up to the plate and brought back that “BIG” race feel. The race consisted of best 2 of 3 rounds of qualifying, triple A-mains, and a free raffle that rivaled some National events.

Mark Stiles double at BRCA 1/12th Rd3

Round 3 of the 2012/13 BRCA 1/12th Scale Nationals took place in Tamworth on the 8th/9th December. The event saw another big turnout with nearly 100 drivers racing on each day of the event. There were a couple of notable absentees though, with current championship leader David Spashett away in Argentina at the 1/8th buggy worlds, and Olly Jefferies busy at home changing nappies! This took nothing away from what looked like being a very competitive event though.

Numedahl Cashes in at TNS Rd1

The Top Notch Series kicked off its inaugural season at SDRC Raceway in San Diego, California on December 1.  Over 150 entries were on hand to battle for bragging rights and over $1,000.00 in cash and prizes. Regarded as the premier 1:10 off-road class, 2WD Modified was highly competitive, with some of the best racers in the region competing for the round win and the early lead in the championship.  After two scheduled rounds of qualifying, Reedy/AE Factory driver Kody Numedahl and his Reedy-powered B4.1 Worlds Car buggy were at the top of the time sheets and on pole position for the A Main. Kody took full advantage of his pole-position start by leading the main event wire-to-wire for the win. A nice trophy, a wad of cash, and the series points lead were well deserved rewards for Kody’s convincing victory.
