2020 INS10 & NCTS2 Series – Announcement

JConcepts have announced their INS10 and NCTS2 series for the 2020 season. 2020 marks a truly remarkable milestone as the JConcepts Indoor National Series will now be in its 10th year as the most highly participated 1/10th dirt off-road series in the world. However, JConcept’s vision doesn’t stop there. The proactive company also wanted to elevate the carpet and turf off-road racing scene and cater to all types of racers and that’s why JC went all in to established the JConcepts National Carpet and Turf Series last year. Being the only unified and true indoor nationwide off-road series for both carpet and dirt, JConcept’s aim is to create lasting memories and amazing experiences for all racers no matter the skill level or surface. Using a very similar formula to the INS that focuses on fun and adrenaline pumping action, the participants of the inaugural year of the NCTS instantly felt right at home with the racer friendly familiar format, racing at world class facilities, and face challenges of competing against the finest drivers that will bring the best in everyone. To keep things relevant and the series fresh, the organizers made a few tweaks to the INS10 and NCTS2 for better racing and even more fun. Essex Carpet Clash Rd4 – Report

Round 4 of the Essex Carpet Clash championship was this past weekend, and the team had a slight change up for the driver for this round, running in the opposite, anti-clockwise, direction compared to all previous rounds. After the four rounds of qualifying, it was Stephen Brown in 4WD that took the pole position securing it by TQ’ing all rounds. Mark Lewis was hot on his tail and lines up 2nd on the grid ahead of John Painter.

Havranek & Hoch win at HIT Rd4

Round 4 of the popular HIT series was held in the Czech Republic recently. A technically track of medium grip challenged the drivers and in the end it was Oliver Havranek with the win in the Touring Modified class from Martin Kratochvil in 2nd and Radko Cernohous in 3rd, making it an all-Xray top 3. Over in the Formula class Lukas Hoch walked away with the silverware from Filip Radjus in 2nd and Svetlin Douhlevski in 3rd.

Ronald Völker wins at TOS West Division Rd2

The second round of the West Division 2019/20 Tonisport Onroad Series was hosted by the Racing Arena Limburg in Sittard, The Netherlands this past weekend. The race was held in a multitude of classes and in the premier Touring Modified category it was Yokomo’s Ronald Völker with the overall win from now free agent, Yannic Prümper on the runner-up spot. Awesomatix’s Thimo Weissbauer came in 3rd to round out the podium in front of Lucas Urbain, Christopher Krapp and Loic Jasmin. Sebastian Meibörg, Liam van de Wouwer and Martin Machura completed the A-main results.

Louth RCCC Schumacher Winter Series Rd4 – Report

The fourth round of the 2019/20 Schumacher Winter Series presented by the Louth Radio Control Car Club took place over the past weekend. In Touring 13.5T Mitch Fiddling would set the initial pace in the early rounds before a fatal incident would end his day. Chris Lovely would pick up the mantle and take the further three rounds of qualifying with his Xray T4’20. Lisa Keen would find the pace with her Serpent, Alex Brocklebank would fit his Schumacher Mi7 into 3rd. Joseph Cocking debuting his new Yokomo BD10 would sit in 4th, ahead of Callum Chapman with his mid motor converted Xray, Jay Kay would show consistency with his Yokomo, Andrew Twigger would debut well with his Xray making the A-final.

Brandon Rose sweeps 2020 January Jam

Flowood Indoor R/C Park of Flowood, Mississippi held the 2020 January Jam this past weekend with nearly 190 entries for the several nitro and electric off-road classes. In the Expert Nitro Buggy class it was Agama pilot Brandon Rose with the overall TQ and he also came out on top in the 30-minute A-main event, leaving behind Kody Watson (JQ Racing) in 2nd, two laps behind. Cameron Breaux (HB Racing) would round out the top 3 result anther two laps down. In the 1/8th E-Buggy class it was again Brandon with the overall win after coming out on top in A1 and A2 while A2 winner, Cameron Breaux took the runner-up spot.

Xray Racing Series Germany Rd4 – Report

Round 4 of the Xray Racing Series Germany was held in Leipzig recently. The event saw the running of several electric on-road classes and in Touring FWD it was Stefan Schulz with the overall win from Sven Muller in 2nd and Michael Klaus in 3rd.

Touring Stock saw Stefan Schulz walking away with the win from Tim Schulte in 2nd and Michael Zierold in 3rd while in the Touring 17.5T class Peter Stein took the day’s win from Julius Stein on the runner-up spot as Mirko Schulze completed the top 3 results.

The Formula class had Andreas Beier taking the win from Enrico Hahn 2nd and Sebastian Keller in 3rd.

Lastly in the 1/12th scale pan car class Dirk Brauer took the win from Philipp Lischke 2nd and Christopher Bergholz 3rd.

Rheinard & Murray crowned 1/12th scale World Champs

The 2020 IFMAR 1/12th scale World Championship were held in Milton Keynes, UK, attracting nearly 60 entries for the LMP Modified and 60 entires for the LMP Stock class. The event was held on a purpose-built track within the large Centre:MK shopping mall, ensuring a good exposure of the sport to potential new racers. Free practice of the Modified class was lead by Alexander Hagberg while Yoshiyasu Yanagisawa took the seeding practice. Michal Orlowski then snatched the overall TQ, winning four of the six qualifiers from single round TQ, Yoshiyasu Yanagisawa. Olly Jefferies came in 3rd with a steady performance as single round TQ and former 1/12th scale World Champ, Marc Rheinard put his car in 4th overall. A-main 1 then saw Yoshiyasu Yanagisawa taking the win with a 1-second margin from Marc as Ollie Payne came in 3rd, another second behind. TQ Michal lacked a bit of speed and had to settle for 5th.
