Endurance Championship Austria - Announcement

The 5th running of the Endurance Championship Austria will take place on the 21st of June at the Tirol Ring in Kematen, Austria. The 10h race, organised by the MRC Zillertal club, will be run with Tamiya TT01 chassis equipped with control electrics in the form of a Speed Passion Citrix Stock Club speedo and MMM 13.5T motors using a 55/26 gear ratio. Ride 36R tyres and Tamiya GT bodies such as the Mercedes SLS, Audi R8 or Porsche GT3 are mandatory for all cars as are front and rear LED lights. The race will start at 1 p.m. with a special top qualifying to determine the starting grid taking place before. Entries for the race are still availably by clicking here.

HRC Distribution announce the signing of French ace Leo Arnold to their team. The successful nitro racer will now also attend at electric touring car events such as the French Championships and the ETS using Team Magic’s latest E4RS II Evo kit.

LRP Masters Italy – Announcement

LRP announce the LRP Masters Italy, run at the Romagnoli RC Arena in Mordano near Bologna, Italy on the weekend of June 1st, as part of the 8-race LRP Challenge Italy. The series is based on the concept of the popular LRP-HPI-Challenge and the event will see the running of four touring car classes including 17.5T Classic,  17.5T, 13.5T and Modified. Bradley Baird wins Irish 1/8th off-road season opener

Round 1 of the 2014 RCCAOI championship, run at BADMCC, had some challenging weather conditions to offer. The decision was made to go ahead, and most of the standing water was removed from the track. Defending champion Bradley Baird (JQ Products) took the top spot in round one, with John Matthews (JQ Products) taking the honours in the electric class. Bradley drove his Orion powered JQ to win each of the following 4 rounds, the only driver to achieve 11 laps, and take the overall TQ from Gary Baird’s Agama in second and Aaron Vance’s Team Durango in third.

Xray Challenge Italy – Announcement

The Xray Challenge Italy will be held on the weekend of the 13th of July in Livorno. The race sees the running of a Touring Car Modified, Touring Car 13.5T non-timing and a 21.5T “blinky” F1 class. Ryan Maifield doubles at 2014 Dirt Invert

For the 2nd consecutive year, the JConcepts Dirt Invert took place just outside of Phoenix, AZ, and this time at Warehouse 3 Raceway. The triple A-main, Invert format was brought back to compliment an even larger turnout of just under 250 entries. Team Associated/JConcepts drivers Ryan Maifield, Tanner Denney, Spencer Rivkin and Tommy Hinz battled some of Arizona’s finest TLR drivers such as Chris Wheeler and Charles Hicks. The man behind the race format, Brian “Dirt” Kinwald, was on hand promoting the newly released RC10 Worlds car and also taking a shot at some of the best drivers in the regional areas.

King & Tessmann win at Lone Star Challenge

King & Tessmann win at Lone Star Challenge

The 2014 Lone Star Challenge took place in Austin, Texas on the Thornhill Racing Circuit. The race was run on a track built by The Dirt’s Joey Christensen and it doubled as the warm-up for this year’s ROAR Gas Nationals and was also the third stop of the 2014 USPro Cup tour. The 1/8th Nitro Buggy class had Ty Tessmann taking the first qualifier from Ryan Lutz and Josh Wheeler while Ryan Mayfield just edged out Ty in the 2nd qualifying round by 0.1 seconds. Ty stroke back in the 3rd qualifier by taking the round TQ from Ryan Maifield. The 4th and final qualifying round then went to Josh Wheeler who left Cody King and Adam Drake behind. After the semi finals Ty Tessmann put his Hot Bodies buggy on the pole position for the 1-hour A-main with Adam Drake (TLR), Ryan Maifield (Team Associated) and Ryan Lutz (Team Durango) completing the top 4.
