Zeppin Racing have introduced their new line of LiPo packs. A standard range of batteries there is a 5900mAh 60C 7.4v pack, a 5000Ah 30C 7.4V, a 5700mh 25C 7.4v saddle pack and a 5300mAh 45C 3.7v pack for 1/12th scale. All packs come with hard cases and all but the 60C pack come with bullet connectors.
Reedy have added two new battery packs to their range of LiPo Wolfpacks. Available in 6500mAh 7.4V 25C and 3900mAh 11.1V 35C each battery features Reedy’s molded hard case for maximum crash protection. High quality cell manufacturing and construction techniques result in reliable operation and maximum cycle-life. Unlike some brands that utilize power-robbing ‘universal’ plugs, Reedy’s WolfPack LiPo batteries come equipped with beefy silicone wires and a low-resistance Deans Ultra Plug connector. Robitronic have extended their line of Expert chargers by the LD16z and LD108z. The Expert LD 16z features an intelligent charging circuit enabling the unit to simultaneously detect even multiple errors like a broken cell, user error etc. and hence provide safe charging. Featuring a built-in AC adapter the charger is usable with 11-18V and 110-240V, incorporates a cell balancer for LiPo batteries, different charge and discharge programs and comes including power and several charging adapter wires.
The new Core RC Sensor Widget is a fantastic tool for anyone who runs a brushless set up. As experienced users will know sensors in brushless motors and sensor wires are a problematic area and cogging and non starting is a common issue. This simple sensor widget makes testing the sensor signals from a brushless motor quick and easy. Most common faults can be detected and prevent wasted track time. In addition to testing the signals from the motor, it can also be used to check sensor cables for damage. Simply plug motor and sensor wire into the connector on the right side of the widget and view the LED light sequence to determine a fault. No external power source required.

Following first issues with their HV120 line of flight controllers, Castle Creations now issued another, extended, service advisory that applies to other HV controllers, such as the Mamba XL, too. According to Castle Creations a component used in the controllers features different specifications and these tolerances may lead to failure of the affected controllers.

The Core RC UAC-50 universal digital charger is a multifunction balance and rapid charger/discharger controlled by a high performance microprocessor and specialised operating software. Making use of multi voltage input of 110-240v AC or 12v DC the multi-chemistry charger is compatible with all types of batteries including LiPo, Li-lon, LiFE, NiMH, NiCd, and Lead-Acid cells. The software programs include charing with up to 6 amps, discharging, balancing, cycling and storing. A JST XH balancer board and as well as adapter leads are included.

Team Orion got in touch to tell us about their latest addition to the R10 line of 1/10 scale speed controllers. Based on the the 4-times US National Champion R10 Pro the Swiss company introduces the R10 Race 2-3S Club Racing speed controller. The speedo, that is ideal for the zero degrees fixied timing class, features the same aluminium case as the Pro offerings, the Race offers the possibility to use LiPo batteries up to 3S with a 10.5T motor limit, 5.75V/3A linear mode BEC and on-board programming of various parameters like drive mode, punch, brake and low-voltage adjustments via the on/off switch. Using the optional DSB-R programming box gives additional access to boost and turbo programmes. The new speedo also sports a special capacitor board that allows the neat and secure positioning of the capacitors that are housed in a small plastic casing.
