Patrick Hofer wins Swiss Nitro Buggy opener

The opening round of the Swiss Nitro Buggy Championship was held on the multi-surface track in Viggiù. A dusty dirt surface, astro turf and paving stones made for challenging conditions with Patrick Hofer (Team Associated/Reedy) and Jeremy Pittet (HB/Team Orion) battling for the TQ and the pole position for the main final. Ultimately Jeremy would hold the upper hand over Patrick who suffered from a crash with a back marker in his semifinal. The main final then saw a great fight between Jeremy, Patrick and Joachim Kallen (Xray/Picco) and after the 45-minute encounter it was Patrick who brought home the win one lap head of Jeremy with Joachim rounding out the podium in third.
