Ryan Cavalieri wins at Revelation Raceway Club race

Revelation Raceway of of Ontario, California held a club race this past weekend, attracting local talent alongside the likes of SWorkz’s Ryan Cavalieri and Tekno RC’s Jared Tebo. The two tried to get some laps in in preparation of the forthcoming Dirt Nitro Challenge and they would battle it out in the Nitro Buggy class. Ultimately it was Ryan with the TQ and win as Jared came in 2nd, some 14 seconds short of Ryan due to too many mistakes. Mugen’s Javier Perez ended the race in 3rd, three laps behind the top 2.

Jake Mayo signs with FX Engines

FX Engines and RC America have announced the signing of US top driver, Jake Mayo to their team. Jake will be using FX engines to power his Xray rides for the 2019 season, attending races such as the Dirt Nitro Challenge and the ROAR nationals.

Nemo Racing sign Ben Sterling

Nemo Racing have announced the signing of Australia’s Ben Sterling to their factory team. The former HB Racing driver is considered one of Australia’s fastest 1/8th off-road racers and he will be using Agama kits in his campaign that will include all major Australian as well as international races.

Pelle Culmsee doubles at Danish 1/8th opener

The opening round of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was hosted by the RC Center Skive last weekend. In the 1/8t Nitro Buggy class, run on Sunday, it was Pelle Culmsee with the overall TQ in front of Daniel Bubel and Thomas Hansen. In the 45-minute main final Pelle would hold the upper hand, taking the win a lap in front of Daniel Bubel as Daniel Rose rounded out the top 3 result. Over in the E-Buggy category, held on Saturday, it was also Pelle Culmsee with the TQ as Daniel Bubel and Jakob Larsen came in 2nd and 3rd on the grid. The triple A-mains would see Pelle taking pretty dominant wins for the overall in front of Daniel Bubel and Danny Kwiatkowski.

Xray Racing Series Greece On-road Rd2 – Report

The second round of the Xray Racing Series Greece was held at the Fanatix Racing Track in Athens. Cold but sunny weather made for a great atmosphere and in Touring Modified it was front-runner Dimitris Ioannidis who showed up late due to having to write a chemistry test, however he once again took the top position overall to take the day’s win from Nick Nikolakopoulos and a surprisingly improved Chris Kidis who rounded out an all-Xray podium.

2019 Force Series Rd1 – Report

Last weekend the Force Series kicked off its first race of the 2019 calendar at Dean’s Discount Hobbies, featuring some of the biggest names in the Southeast. In 1/8th Expert Nitro Buggy former World Champion, Serpent’s Billy Easton took the win in Pro Nitro Buggy as the longtime ace veteran proved to be the fastest after 25 minutes. Making the podium and also showing tremendous speed over the weekend was Team Associated’s Julien Oliveras. Julien has been working hard and close to a breakout race win. HB Racing’s Alfredo Arrieta closed out the podium in 3rd.

Collin Weatherholt doubles at Winter Series Rd3

The third round of the Winter Series was held at The Ohio RC Factory track in Jeffersonville, Ohio this past weekend. The event attracted nearly 110 entries for the 1/8th off-road and 1/10th SCT classes and in Pro Nitro Buggy it was Collin Weatherholt with the TQ and also the win in the 20-minute A-main, leaving behind Brandon Hogan in 2nd by a 12-seconds margin. Scott Kuchler would round out the podium a lap down.

Basile Concialdi wins at Brieuc Indoor Grand Prix

Last weekend’s Saint Brieuc International Indoor Grand Prix not only was held in 1/8th scale but also a 1/10th 200mm class. The special conditions of an indoor nitro track required some unusual adjustments and it was Shepherd’s Basile Concialdi who quickly found a good setup to win the opening qualifier ahead of Kévin Rasquin who came back to win Q2. Basile got it all together to win the the third and final round, improving Kevin’s time by over two seconds. In the half-hour long final Basile, despite the ever increasingly difficult track conditions, pulled a gap and took a strong win in front of Capricorn’s Thomas Guillon and Xray’s Anthony Stephan who completed the podium.
