Darren Bloomfield wins HNMC Winter Series Rd2

For the recent second round of the HNMC Winter Series the weather was looking good for the one day event with clear skies and an unusual winter prediction of no rain. There was an open practise session before racing got under way at 10am and with a large entry of over 85 drivers it was set to be a long day. Many drivers opting to wait until the opening round of qualifying to take to the track. Qualifying saw Darren taking the TQ with Ollie Currie and Callum Niblett in the following places showing superb pace hot on the heels of Darren. The A final was run as the sunlight started to go, and Darren got off to an early lead with Ollie Currie in second. A first corner nightmare for both Callum and Jon made for a gap that needed to be closed between them and the front half of the field. Callum did well to get back to 6th place but the gap was too much although he did take home the fastest lap of the race. Ollie and Darren drove flawlessly to take the first two spots on the podium with Jamie Clancy in third.
