The Wicked Weekend was held in Gainesville, Georgia with a record amount of 640 entries. This made for long days but the program moved along quickly thanks to the race directing by Lance McDonald. The track layout put in by Bobby Moore was relatively easy and had good flow which provided close racing. For qualifying, Ryan Lutz seemed to be unbeatable by TQ’ing both rounds of all three classes. In Nitro Truggy Ryan set sail early and left the pack. Joe Bornhorst had some early mistakes but came back to 2nd place late in the race, leaving Blake Boggs behind in third.

Norwegian Nitro Touring Championship – Report

The Norwegian Nitro Touring Championship was held this past weekend at the Lorenskog Modellbilklubb in Norway. With several pre-event favourites this year’s championship was considered to be one of the most exciting in years and it was local driver Trygve Bull Freng who took the TQ and the pole position for the A-main final, followed by André Roine, Jonas Ramsrud, Espen Myhre and Anders Mikkelsen who made up the top 5 on the starting grid. Nejc Mihelic takes Slovenian 1/8th On-road title

Nejc Mihelic takes Slovenian 1/8th On-road title

The Slovenian 1/8th Nitro On-road Championship was held at the Tolmin track last weekend. Perfect weather conditions made for some nice days of racing with the action having started already on Friday. The qualifiers were won by ARC’s Nejc Mihelic who had his ARC team mates Valentin Mis and Simon Stelcl in tow in second and third respectively. A huge amount of tyre wear and a power and fuel-hungry track made for many different pit strategies. Up front Nejc checked out early to take the win and the championship title but behind him the race was on for the runner-up spot between Valentin and Simon. Both opted not to change tyres and only an engine flame out of Valentin brought the decision between the two with Simon taking the second place and the vice championship while Valentin had to settle for third.

Thanks to Nejc Mihelic for the report.
