ORCA Portugal have announced the signing of former European Champion and multi-time Portuguese National Champion Miguel Matias to their team. The Xray factory driver will use ORCA electronics in his electric rides from now on.

Last weekend saw the running of the 17th edition of the Kyosho Masters in France. UK’s Elliott Boots would take the TQ and win in front of newly crowned European Champion B, Riccardo Berton and Frenchman Jerome Aigoin.

Round 3 of the 2015 RC Lemans Series was held in Utrecht, NL over the weekend in the classes of Pro10 Modified and Stock. Following a dry practice day the race day started out wet with the three qualifiers all being run under very severe weather conditions. In the Modified class Tim Altmann grabbed his first pole position of the 2015 season in front of his brother Kai. Tobias Weist, Reinder Wilms and Michael Finger rounded out the top 5 result. In the 10.5T non-boost class Sascha Lennartz took the TQ from Franz-Jakob Reinartz, Roy Pie, Mathijs Hermens and Nick Boon.

Hitec have announced the signing of German frontrunner Yannic Prümper to their team. Yannic, who won the Italian round of this year’s Euro Touring Series, will use the company’s Lynx 4S radio system from the upcoming ETS finale in Slovakia on. The Yokomo factory driver has the following to say about the deal:
I am very happy to be part of the Hitec team and I cannot await my first race with the new radio system. The transmitter is very well balanced and perfectly fits my needs. I really look forward to use the Lynx 4S at the ETS finale in Trencin.

Round 2 of the Asian On-Road Championships was held in Adelaide, Southern Australia over the weekend. The event saw some 100 entries split in the five different classes of 1/10 Touring Car Modified, 13.5 Stock, 21.5 Stock, Formula as well as 1/12th scale. The race was held at the permanent indoor asphalt track of Hobby Habit on a medium sized, very smooth and pretty high-bite track. In the Touring Car Modified class Yokomo’s Ronald Völker would take the TQ from Ryan Maker (VBC) who shot into the 2 spot by winning the final qualifier on new tyres as Ronald backed off. Alexander Hagberg put his Xray car on the 3 spot, saving tyres for the triple A-mains. Alex’ strategy would pay off as he came in 2nd in A1 and A3 to take the runner-up spot behind Ronald while Ryan fall back to 3rd place.

Yokomo have announced the signing of UK’s Simon Moss to their electric off-road team. Simon, who only left his long-term sponsors Schumacher last week, will further strengthen Yokomo’s off-road team in the UK by joining front runners Lee Martin and Tom Cockerill. The warm-up race for this year’s EFRA 1/10th Electric Off-road European Championships was held at the Robin Hood Raceway in the UK. HB’s David Ronnefalk would take the TQ in the 2WD class and he went on to win the first and second A-main to take the win early. Team Associated’s Neil Cragg snatched the win in the third leg to take the runner-up spot from Lee Martin (Yokomo). In the 4WD class it was Lee Martin (Yokomo) who came out fastest from HB’s David Ronnefalk and Serpent driver Jörn Neumann. Despite Martin Bayer (Xray) taking the win in the opening A-main the overall victory went to Lee Martin from Martin Bayer on the runner-up spot. The podium was rounded out by David Ronnefalk in 3rd.

Reds Racing have announced the signing of former World Champion Yuichi Kanai to their factory team. The head of 1/8th offroad development for Kyosho is currently attending the Kyosho Masters in France from where the deal was finalised. Kanai will uses the Italian made engines to power his distinctive green race cars, replacing the RB engines he ran previously.
