Expert Truggy had Jeremy Whiting take the TQ and lead the field out. A battle between Whiting, Jeff Wood and Jeff Stanford ensued as the 30 minute main got under way. Stanford unfortunately suffered mechanical issues keeping him out of the race and Jeremy Whiting opened up a lead.
