In qualifying Oliver Mack would claim the TQ in impressive style. First setting a new track record in Q2 he then managed to go even faster in Q4. With rain on the forecast causing the final to be reduced to 20-minutes, Oli was pulling away from the field but he stopped at the 12-minutes mark due to an engine failure. Dennis Weihert, who qualified 5th, was able to take over the lead and from there he never looked back to take the win.
