Südhoff takes Rd3 of Central Germany regionals

Known for his electric touring car skills Freddy Südhoff took a deep nitro sniff and joined the 3rd round of the Central German nitro on-road championship to race in the 1/8th on-road class. Having never raced a 1/8th scale car before he got familiar with his Sonic-powered Velox V8 EC, bored from fellow racer Oliver Mack and prepared by Armin Weihert. In qualifying he took the TQ being the only driver to reach 25 laps with his fastest laptime being 0.2 sec faster than the remainder of the field. In the semi-final A everything went fine and he claimed the pole-position for the 30 minute final while Philip Sting, who was the winner of the semi-final B, was 2 laps short. Right from the start of the final “Fast Freddy” stormed away and increased the gap lap by lap. As the tyre wear was very moderate his lap times were still very fast towards the end of the race although he pushed the whole final. After 30 minutes he crossed the finishline some 6 laps in front of Jürgen Hennemuth in 2nd and Alexander Schmitt in 3rd who was another lap down.
