David Poulter re-joins Schumacher

Schumacher announce that UK off-road front runner David Poulter has re-joined the team. David is a high performing driver who will be an excellent addition to the UK team and he has the following to say:

I’d like say thank you to TLR & Horizon Hobby UK for their support this year. I am very happy to be returning to Schumacher Racing and am excited about running both the Cougar KF and Cat K1 Aero for the coming season. I am hoping to compete at all rounds of the EOS Series and the Silverstone Winter Series where I will be able to adjust to the cars ready for the UK Nationals in 2015.

Last weekend the Argentine 1/10th touring championships took place in Cordoba. Juan Pablo Golobic took the TQ and the overall win with his Novarossi-powered ride, followed by Novarossi team mate Guillermo San Martino.

Multiple champion and JMRCA touring car national A-main finalist Yugo Nagashima recently joined VBC Racing, the company announced. Yugo will VBC’s latest touring car kit at this week’s 2014 touring car nationals and during his upcoming campaign.

Bloomfield & Truman win at HNMC Beta GP 2014

The HNMC Beta GP 2014 was held at Herts Nitro Model Club. In the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class Darren Bloomfield took the TQ and win from Graham Alsop and Tony Truman, who completed the podium in 3rd. The Nitro Truggy class saw Tony Truman taking the TQ and win from Felix Koegler and Michael Shoery. In the 1/8th E-buggy class Callum Niblett came out successful in front of Jerome and Jean-Pierrick Sartel in 2nd and 3rd respectively. The Beta Junior race saw Callum Niblett walking away with the win from Oliver Currie and Lewis Beach.

Martin Bayer wins German nitro buggy nationals Rd1

The first out of two rounds for this year’s German 1/8th nitro buggy championship was held at the LA Speedway in Landshut in the South of Germany. Nearly 130 drivers battled for the win on a bumpy, challenging track. The cold weather made things unpleasant and at the end of the 40 minute final Xray/LRP’s Martin Bayer took the win one lap ahead of Carsten Keller (Kyosho/Bullitt) and Jörn Neumann (Team Durango/FX). The second and decisive round of the championship will take place this coming weekend on a track close to the Munich airport.

Finish nitro on-road nationals Rd4 – Report

The KYPAK club in Kouvola hosted the 4th round of the Finnish nitro on-road championships. Unlike in the previous races the weather was cold and drivers were expecting rain showers, but at the end only a few minutes of light rain during the day caused slippery conditions in 2nd round of qualifying, with the remainder of the day being dry. In the 3 rounds of qualifying Panu, Matias and Teemu were fighting of the TQ, but it was Matias who managed to take the overall TQ spot in 3 round in front of Teemu, Panu and Alexander.

Belgium/NL 1/10 off-road championship Rd6 – Report

The 6th round this year’s BNK 1/10th off-road championship took place in Kampenhout, Belgium with some 80 drivers in attendance. Following a rainy practice on Saturday the drivers were greeted by sunny weather on Sunday. In the 2WD class young Brent Ausloos (Schumacher) took the TQ spot from Nicolas Risser (Team C) while TLR driver Wesley Van Helmond completed the top 3 after the qualifiers.
