Justin Driemeier wins JConcepts race at SmacTrack

The JConcepts race at SmacTrak in St. Louis, MO. took place last weekend. Justin Driemeier, driving the new X-Factory SCX-60CF TQ’d the first of four qualifying rounds on the small but technical indoor track, but bad racing luck in the next two rounds left him in a must-win situation in Sunday morning’s round 4. Justin went out and did what had to be done, winning the last round by about 4 seconds to wrap up pole position for the 2WD Short Course A mains. A-1 saw Driemeier’s SCX – 60CF take a wire-to-wire win, but in A-2 there were some “rubbin is racin” incidents that put Justin third, so it was all to play for in A – 3.  Again, Driemeier and the SCX – 60CF were up to the task, as Justin jumped out to an early lead and put it on cruise control to take the last main by almost five seconds. Coupled with Mike Aliberti’s win two weeks ago at R/C Excitement, this makes two regional race wins in a row for the new X Factory truck. Paul Sinclair, in his first major race driving his own SCX-60CF, qualified 7th with the Probst Motorsports replica body SCX-60CF. Paul took 6th in all three mains to wind up 7th for the race.

The fifth round of the South Swedish Indoor Cup was held on an indoor track, in Växjö, southern Sweden. The track saw some low grip and a fairly easy layout but it was hard to drive fast on.
