Barry Baker wins 2007 ROAR Nitro Nationals

Xray are reporting on last weekends 2007 ROAR Nitro Nationals that was held at the Gulf Coast Raceway in Porter, Texas. Qualifying saw the pole position go to Xray racer Paul LeMieux, the only driver to get a 20 lap run, with Kyosho racers Chris Tosolini in 2nd and Scott Kimbrow in 3rd. With the top 7 drivers qualifying directly for the final, the other racers had to go through the semi to take their place in the main final. At the start of the final, it was Paul that got the best start but a mistake dropped him back and allowed Kimbrow into the lead. After some time, Ralph Burch, Barry Baker and LeMieux could make it passed Kimbrow and at the 15 minute mark they all had a lap on 4th place and at 25 minutes they came in for their tire stop which saw Ralph stall, and lose 7 or 8 laps, LeMieux also have problems. Baker was now leading, and a stop for only 1 tire meant he lost little time and could go after the leaders and with 7 minutes left to race, he caught and passed the leader and took the win, leaving Josh Cyrul in 2nd and Scott Kimbrow in 3rd.
