The second round of the IBP GP was held at the Indoor Bike Park RC track near Zurich, Switzerland’s only indoor clay track. In 1/8th E-Buggy it was Xray’s Robin Frischkopf who won all qualifiers to and two A-mains to grab the overall win from Tom Sommer, the leg 1 winner. Daniel Caviezel would complete the top 3 result.

Schumacher have introduced a set of aluminium rear hub carriers for their range of Cat and Cougar off-road buggies. Machined from aluminium and coming black anodised the parts offer vertical ballstud adjustment for fine-tuning as well as extra holes to create long-link settings. Included are bronze axle height inserts for high precision and durability and the hubs are usable on the Cat K1 and K2 4WD as well as the Cougar SV2, KR, KF, KF2, KD and KC 2WD buggies.

UK Fantom distributors Schumacher have introduced the FR-1 v2T and v2R spec racing brushless motors. The heart of the new v2 FR-1 series motors are the high-quality stators and rotors. The stators are made from premium Japanese Kawasaki steel and the new improved internal designs provide even lower ohm resistance, while at the same time provide more power and RPM. In addition, the rotors are manufactured using a premium grade neodymium formula, for high horsepower and fade resistance. The 13.5T motors are available in several variants, including “R” RPM and “T” torque specific offerings while the 17.5T comes also T and the 21.5T is an all-round item. All new V2 Spec Stock motors also have a non removable “BRCA approved” decal to prevent grey importation of above price limit motors. Without this decal in place, the motor is not BRCA legal.

Mugen Seiki Europe has announced the signing of Marco Natale to their international racing team. The Italian ace will use the MBX7R Nitro and Eco buggies during his forthcoming campaign that will include appearances at the Italian nationals and at major international events. Xray have introduced a range of hard-coated 48 pitch aluminium pinion gears. Coming machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and sporting a hard-anodised surface for wear the gears are cut on a special gear machine for highest possible precision while the surface treatment ensures high durability. The gears are available as 26T to 38T variant with the tooth number laser-etched into the front face for easy identification.

The 2017 Kick Off race will be held at the M.A.C.H. One track in Helmond, The Netherlands on the 22nd and 23rd of April. The season opener will see 1/8th nitro and electric classes run on the club’s astro turf track with the Saturday being devoted to practice and a first qualifier while Sunday is the official race day. Available now from Team Magic is a centre differential set for the E5 series of trucks. The diff replaces the standard centre main shaft and spur gear and it features a sturdy composite diff case, metal cross gears, steel cross shafts and it is tuneable using different weight diff fluids to achieve the best balance between traction and drivability.

Avid have added new Team Associated B6-series option parts to their portfolio in the form of the Triad titanium steering axles and two carbon fibre steering block arms. Starting with the front axles, the lightweight parts are designed to increase strength over the kit aluminium axles while also allowing to narrow the buggy’s track width with the included 1mm shim. The axles weigh in at 4.4g per pair, they are machined from billet 6AI-4V titanium while the shim is hard-anodised 7075-T6 aluminium, and they are usable on both the B6 and B6D.
