The 7th and final round of the Heart of America Series was held last weekend in 1/8th IC Track, 1/8th GT and 1/10th 200mm classes. In 1/8th GT it was Vishal Singh with the overall TQ and he would also bring home the win in the 30-minute A-main event, leaving behind Tim Kristl II in 2nd, some 3.3 seconds behind.

Made for the Team Associated B74 4WD buggy is Avid’s new -2mm carbon fibre rear shock tower. The shock stay is made from 100 percent carbon fibre and designed to limit the shock up travel to keep the dogbone from hitting the outdrives. The tower is machined from 4.0mm thick material, it maintains the stock shock angles and it has two small drill holes under the centre hole of the wing mount for notification.

The 8th and final round of the 1/10th Off-road Championship was held in Bratislava recently. Right from the start the weather looked to play a factor and after Q1 it started to rain slightly but got worse over the day meaning the organisers had to call the race a day before the finals. This meant Lacko Toth would take the win in 4WD Buggy with Peter Tauber coming in 2nd and Milos Svihran ending the day on the 3 spot.

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Team Associated B74 buggy are new carbon fibre and titanium optionals. Starting with the carbon fibre parts, new are front and rear shock towers that are of a ribbed and chamfered design. The 4mm thickness, genuine carbon fibre material is durable, lightweight and features the JConcepts milled sections which help maintain strength while minimising weight. The three standard B74 shock positions remain for quick and steady adjustments in the correct position for the front and rear shock geometry. The towers feature the JConcepts treatment of ribbed sections and chamfered edges on the surface of the race-proven material. The towers are complete and designed to accept the stock mounting hardware.
JConcepts have introduced their popular Ellipse 2.2” buggy rear tyre in silver compound. The Ellipse, named after the centre bar built into the tread, is a compliment to successful tyres such as the Dirt Webs and Space Bars. The “Web” style tyre was built to compete on smooth high-grip indoor and outdoor surfaces which require a finely detailed connected bar pattern. Reds Racing have introduced the new M7 WCX Pro Tuned 3.5cc 1/8th on-road engine. Considered to be the company’s top of the food chain on-road engine, the power plant was developed over the course of a year with input of team drivers and distributors. The engine has been specifically developed for people looking for the same speed and specs as used by Pro Factory Team drivers and so the WCX Pro Tuned is based on M7 WCX engine with additional hand-made finishing touches to the sleeve and crankshaft in order to obtain improved fluid dynamics efficiency while the modified timing ensures even greater power output. The engine is totally hand-inspected and tuned by Mario Rossi himself and will become available very soon.

Available now from Team Corally are their new Vulcan Pro and Stock sensored brushless motors for 1/10th and 1/12th scale applications. Specially developed to meet the requirements of modified and stock racing, the motors feature a highly machined aluminium can for optimised heat dissipation as well as dual sensor ports for easier sensor wire routing. The Pro modified motors are available in 3.5T to 10.5T winding specification while the Stock motors come as 10.5T to 21.5T variants.
