Xray X1 solid rear axle set

Coming from Xray and made for their X1 formula car as well as other formula class pan cars is a rear solid axle set. The spool axle is made up using a highly precise graphite axle shaft and a clamping design aluminium adapter all of which replace the standard diff assembly for a lighter spool that helps to gain traction especially in high to very high grip conditions. While improving acceleration the spool axle also makes for increased steering in certain track conditions.

The hardcase pack is made of highest quality Graphene technology 65C/130C cells and its low weight and reduced height allow to lower the car’s overall centre of gravity. One of the highest detailed polycarbonate bodies ever created by Pro-Line, this fully-licensed body captures all the scale details of the legendary Dodge 4×4 and the builder choose which body configuration is desired to finish off any 12.3” wheelbase rig. The body set includes all the elements needed to build a classic open-air pick-up to show off the included highly detailed interior with add-on dashboard or it will allow to use the included camper-shell to create that rugged 4×4 SUV style. Serpent sign Yugo Nagashima

Serpent have announced the signing of Japan’s Yugo Nagashima to their electric on-road team. The former Destiny factory driver is specialised in 1/10th Touring and 1/12th scale racing, having won titles in Japan, Canada and Australia and he will campaign Serpent’s full range of electric chassis at all major events around the globe. Yugo already kicked off his new campaign quite successful with a 5th place in the Modified Touring class at the recent South Korea round of the AOC.

Pro-Line body grip tool

Coming soon from Pro-Line is a body grip tool that makes painting RC car bodies a lot easier. The ergonomic tool helps painters holding the body effortlessly and comfortably. Users can choose to hold the body like a shifter knob for easy rotation or slide it in between the fingers at the narrow base to palm the body effortlessly like a cell phone. The custom machined tool is made from Type 1 PVC and turned to match popular grip styles. The Body Grip tool includes two suction cups to easily adapt to many body sizes and shapes. The large cup is a 60mm rated to hold 3kg and best used on the roof or windshield of larger scale bodies. The medium cup is a 45mm rated to hold 1.3kg and best used on the roof or windshield for small scale bodies or tight areas where the large cup may not fit. To finish it off the body grip tool has a stylish Pro-Line custom paint decal.

NDOR Summer Series Rd3 – Report

Round 3 of the NDOR Summer Series was held last weekend. 17 drivers turned up as others having other commitments with nationals and regionals with a mixture of Nitro Buggy, Truggy and E-Buggy being run. The four rounds of qualifying were dominated by Freddie Thompson for Nitro Buggy, Lewis Marshall for E-Buggy and Robert Woodward for Truggy. Into the B final nice clean racing saw Kyle Ward-Taylor taking 1st place and a great tussle between Adrian Richmond and Andy Griff Griffiths very close together swapping places but finally ending with Adrian taking 2nd and Andy 3rd and all bumping into the 30-minute A-final. Freddie Thompson TQ’d to pole the final. After a hard fought final it was finally taken by Freddie 1st, Lee Maggs 2nd and Aaron Smith taking a much deserved 3rd overall. E-Buggy was mixed with the Nitro B-final for 18 minutes and ended with Lewis Marshall 1st, Paul Fyfe 2nd and John Yates taking 3rd. Great Truggy driving by Robert Woodward and Steve saw Rob taking 1st and Steve 2nd.

Tamiya TT-02 Audi Quattro Rally A2 kit

Tamiya have announced the soon release of their 1983 Audi Quattro Rally A2 kit on the proven TT-02 entry-level 4WD chassis kit. The highlight of the kit is the finely recreated Quattro body with its moulded side mirrors, rear wing and fog lap clusters that give the iconic rally monster the aggressive appearance it is known for. A detailed sticker sheet helps to recreate the iconic Audi motorsports colours and the chassis is decked out with 5-spoke wheels and rally tread pattern tyres. The chassis itself offers symmetrical suspension arms, easy-to-maintain gearboxes as well as ten possible gear ratios. It can be upgraded using a variety of aftermarket parts and the kit will hit stores in mid-July.

Coming soon from Pro-Line is the Trencher HP 2.8” pre-mounted and belted all-terrain monster truck tyre. Pro-Line has developed the technology to mould a high-performance herringbone weave pattern belt inside of the relentless, tall and grippy tread of the new Trencher HP. Made for all-terrain bashing, the Trencher HP tyres will not balloon or expand during use and will still provide exceptional grip thanks to the soft M2 compound. The tyres come mounted on black removable hex Raid wheels and they fit trucks such as the Traxxas Stampede and Rustler 2WD and 4WD.
