JConcepts P2K YZ-2 body buggy body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new P2K body shell for the Yokomo YZ-2 2WD buggy. An evolution of the P2 body, the “K” is sleeker by removing rear down-force features to allow the buggy to turn on the tightest circuits and carpet and astroturf surfaces where traction is always plentiful. The entire centre section of the cab on the P2K has a channel based design to flow directly over the middle of the vehicle to stabilise the at-speed handling. The front of the cab, important to performance, includes the P2 position with heavily recessed front windshield. The JConcepts edge treatment remains on the side-capsule area for air-flow direction by the cab and pointing the force to the rear wing area. The chamfering stands out as a JConcepts design feature on every new shell, the P2K has those elements and in great positions for decals and paint allocation. The P2K takes into account, spur covers and drops over the kit supplied setup. Rear louvers tuck into the rear stance of the shell which can always be customer trimmed for a slight amount of heat escape. The body included two S-type rear wings for durability, rear traction and high-speed tracking.

West German EP Off-road Regionals Rd2 – Report

Last weekend round 2 of the West German Electric Off-road Regionals was hosted by the Panik Team Troisdorf club and held on their huge astroturf track. Over 100 drivers defied the bad weather forecast and showed up on Saturday for some practice and the first out of three qualifiers. With rain almost the hole Saturday the track was pretty wet and slippery and made it a real challenge over the weekend. Nevertheless the sun came out on Sunday, however the track stayed wet and got even more slippery than the day before. Marcel Schneider made the best out of the conditions and took the TQ and win in the 2WD Modified class. Jens Becker followed in 2nd place after finishing on the runner-up spot in all three finals. Ultimate Racing EFRA 2141 & 2142 exhaust systems

Coming from Modelix Racing are the updated Ultimate Racing EFRA 2141 and EFRA 2142 Off-road Super Strong exhaust systems. On both sets the location of the pressure tap has been modified for better performance and both come with the Fast-Lock pipe and manifold connecting system for easy and reliable connection of the exhaust pipe and manifold. Performance-wise the EFRA 2141 pipe provides a precise and linear throttle response in the low to mid RPM range with great top end speed while offering an easy to control power curve for very demanding tracks with sharp corners and hard to clear jumps. The EFRA 2142 set provides a precise and linear throttle response in the higher RPM range with a great top end speed, making it the perfect choice for big tracks with long straights where high top speed is needed.

Axial 1/24 SCX24 Deadbolt 4WD RTR rock crawler

Axial have introduced their new 1/24 scale SCX24 Deadbolt 4WD RTR Rock Crawler. Hardly 200mm long the smaller sibling of the SCX10 II Deadbolt truck is ideal for both indoor and outdoor excursions thanks to plenty of steel components — from the C-channel frame rails to the front and rear axles and dogbones. Even over off-road, mountainous, rocky and desert terrain, it has the strength to keep pushing onward and upward. For the most reliable handling, the SCX24 chassis features a three-link front and four-link rear suspension. The combination of coil-over shocks and durable plastic suspension links delivers Axial-worthy crawling performance even at this small scale. The worm gear drive setup permits a high ground clearance plus a low gear ratio that reduces torque twist. Powered by an included 180-size motor and LiPo battery, the vehicle shows off competence and charisma on the trails. The Deadbolt body offers a narrow stance, bulging hood, realistic driver figure, and moulded roll cage with realistic light bar. The realism continues right down to the ground with licensed KMC XD229 Machete Crawl wheels wrapped in Nitto Trail Grappler tires. Adding even more to its beginner appeal, the SCX24 Deadbolt comes 100 percent complete and ready to run. Everything required for action is in the box: the assembled and finished vehicle, an Axial 2-channel 2.4GHz radio system with servo and ESC/receiver unit, the Dynamite 88T brushed electric motor and 350mAh 2S 7.4V LiPo battery, as well as an USB LiPo charger; and even four AA cells for the transmitter.
