TBR 6.0 Silver & Black Edition engines

Team Bianchi Racing have announced the release of their new TBR 6.0 Silver and Black Edition nitro off-road engines. Evolved from the 5.0, the 6.0 variants offer further improved throttle feeling and fuel consumption. It is understood that the Silver and Black Edition engine only differ by their head colours.

Davide Ongaro sweeps RCGP opener

The opening round of the newly-founded RCGP series was held in Manila, Philippines this past weekend. The event is held in the RCGP Pro and RC2 Open classes with the latter being open to non-sponsored drivers while the RCGP category is intended for Pro teams of one to two drivers. The RCGP class is also separated into two races per weekend with race 1 being swept by Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro who took the TQ and overall win from the HB Racing duo of David Ronnefalk and Cole Ogden. Mugen’s Robert Batlle came in 4th from Infinity’s Kyle McBride in 5th. JQ Racing’s Max Mort, SWorkz’s Juan Carlos Canas and Infinity’s Lee Martin completed the top 8 results.

Jesper Rasmussen TQs & wins at Danish Buggy Nats Rd1

The opening round of the Danish Electric Buggy Nationals was held at the Odense R/C Minirace club this weekend. Team Associated’s Jesper Rasmussen took the TQ and win in the 2WD Buggy class from up and coming Marcus Kaerup as veteran racer, Jonas Kaerup came in 3rd to round out an all-Team-Associated podium.

Pontus Larsson wins at Middle Swedish Cup Rd1

The first round of the Middle Swedish Cup was held in Skövde this weekend. The race attracted nearly 60 entries for the premier 1/8th Nitro Buggy class and it was Pontus Larsson (Serpent/Bullitt) with the clean sweep and overall TQ after the qualifiers. Jessica Palsson (Kyosho/O.S.) came in 2nd from Emil Magnusson (Kyosho/Picco) in 3rd. In the 30-minute main final Pontus, who had a troubles start into the main final, and Jessica came out on top, doing the extra lap with the two being separated by 12 seconds on the finish line while Emil same in 3rd, a lap down. Elias Johansson (HB Racing/Team Orion) and Hampus Berg (HB Racing/Team Orion) would make up the top 5 result.

Westenfelder & Jannik win at GT Euro warm-up

The GT Euro warm-up race was held in Leipzig, Germany this weekend. In the Nitro GT class it was SWorkz/Picco’s Uli Westenfelder with the win from Holger Schmidt (Serpent/O.S.) in 2nd while Denis Mlivic (JQRacing/Alpha) completed the top 3 result. Over in the 4S GTE category it was Jochen Jannik (HB Racing) with the win from Uli Wstenfelder (SWorkz) as Armin Junge (Mugen) completed the podium result.

T-Works EB410/ET410 titanium captured rear hinge pins

T-Works have announced the release of captured titanium rear outer hinge pins for the Tekno RC EB410 and ET410 kits. The design of the suspension shafts improves overall reliability due to the captured design while the lightweight and corrosion resistant titanium material reduces unsprung masses. The set includes a pair of hinge pins and suitable nyloc nuts.

DMS Partz SBX-410 Reactor shock pistons

Coming from DMS Partz and made by TMG Speed are the new Reactor shock pistons for the Corally SBX-410 buggy. The pistons are designed for better bump handling whilst still allowing the buggy to jump and land well. They come packed in pairs, and the pre-drilled ones are available as 2×1.2mm, 3×1.2mm or 4×1.2mm variants to allow drivers to tune and enlarge the holes to their own liking or preference, but also available are blank versions with four pilot holes to drill as required.

Reedy S-Plus 12.5mm HT rotor

Reedy have announced a hi-torque rotor option for the popular Sonic S-Plus Spec motor range. Because the rotor is produced using high-strength material, low-end torque and brake strength are improved with a reduction in fade during a race. The Hi-Torque rotor comes balanced for smooth operation and is easily identified by the part number laser etched on the shaft and its distinctive blue ring.
