FTX Outback Fury Xtreme 1/10 4×4 Pro Spec trail roller

CML Distribution have announced the soon release of the FTX Outback Fury Xtreme 1/10 4×4 Pro Spec trail roller. Based on the FTX Fury, the Outback Fury Xtreme is bringing together new features and the current crop of aftermarket Fury option parts for a hardcore rig ready to add the owner’s choice of electronics. Factory assembled and finished with a pre-painted scale styled pick-up body the Xtreme comes complete with moulded tubular roll cage and integrated roof top LED light bar. With metal axle and pinion gears, drive housings, centre telescopic sliding driveshafts and a complete metal 3-gear transmission the Xtreme is ready for the toughest courses. The super stiff carbon fibre chassis rails provide the ultimate platform for the 6mm steel multi-link suspension to navigate terrain, while aluminium oil-filled shock absorbers smooth out the bumps. Other features include aftermarket CNC machined aluminium accessories, painted metal axle covers, chrome hub covers and super soft aggressive tread high traction tyres. The ARTR kit will hit stores by mid-June.

MonacoRC aluminium shim sets

MonacoRC have introduced their new Supreme Essential Products aluminium shim sets in black and orange colour. Measuring 3mm x 6mm and being available in 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm and 3.0mm thickness, the shims come in several sets including 80-pieces mix kits that include 20 shims each of 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm and 3.0mm, 30-piece kits of ten 0.5mm, 1.0mm and 1.5mm shims as well as 30-piece kits of 1.0mm, 2.0mm and 3.0mm. The shims are also available separately as ten or 20-piece packs of each thickness and they come in MonacoRC’s coloured assortment boxes that include neat stickers and that are also available separately while the larger 80-piece packs come in clear parts boxes.

Bittydesign Agata GT12 body shell

Bittydesign have introduced their new Agata GT12 1/12th scale pan car body shell. Offering a low front section for exceptional steering and a wide cabin design for great overall downforce and straight-line stability, the body’s design also ensures optimised airflow towards the rear wing for a well-balanced overall performance. The lid is a universal fit for all GT12 and 1/12th scale pan car chassis and it is made of lightweight 0.75mm Lexan Polycarbonate material. Included with the body and rear wing come overspray film, window masks as well as a decal sheet.

Rusti Design RC10 V2 carbon rear shock tower

Coming from Rusti Design is the V2 carbon fibre rear shock tower for the Team Associated RC10 2WD vintage buggy. Machined from high-quality 3mm carbon fibre, the shock stay features the standard shock geometry, however its design allows to use both standard and modern big bore shock absorbers. Compared to the V1 variant the V2 tower also sports mounting positions for optional AE B5M wing stays, ensuring for more secure wing mounting that also protects the shock stay while offering stiffer wing attachment. The shock tower is usable with all RC10 variants.

Erich Heshiki wins at Brazilian State Champs Rd2

The second round of the Brazilian State Championships was held at the AARC Racing Track in Santo André, Brazil last weekend. Erich Heshiki (Xray) took the overall TQ in the 8.5T Modified Touring class, tie on points with Awesomatix’s Dennis Pickthall. The triple A-mains saw Erich coming out on top in all mains for the overall as Cesar Salvadori (ARC) snatched the runner-up spot from Dennis in 3rd overall.

Team Powers TP-DS1550SR low-profile servo

Team Powers have introduced their new TP-DS1550SR low-profile servo for 1/10th scale on-road and off-road classes. The high-voltage compatible servo offers up to 13kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.055s and it is compatible with Sanwa’s SSR mode. Other features include a hard-coated steel geartrain for durability and a brushless motor for speed and torque. A black servo wire ensures factory looks and the servo is available now.

Rino Lino TQs & wins at Miami Grand Prix

Homestead in Florida played host to the 2019 Miami Grand Prix last weekend. Racing was on in several nitro on-road classes and in GT8 it was IGT8’s Rino Lino with the overall TQ and also the win in 45-minute A-main final. Lazaro Alonso, despite not completely recovered from an accident and having to drive sitting on a chair, raced hard and strong and finished in 2nd place while Avery Pierce rounded out the top 3 for an all-IGT8 podium.

Miguel & Lima win at Portuguese TC Champs Rd2

The second round of the Portuguese Touring Car Championship was held at the AMVR track with nearly 30 drivers in attendance. The weekend was blessed with great weather, temperatures in the mid-20s, no wind, a clean track and good traction. In the Touring Car class both Carlos Manual and Hugo Miguel showed a strong pace and even made that extra lap in the fourth qualifying round. This set the stage for the finals with Carlos taking the pole position from Hugo on the 2 spot. When the dust had settled, it was Hugo who came out successful, taking the win for Serpent with Capricorn’s Carlos Manuel on the runner-up spot. Mario Miranda (Xray) was on fire in the finals, taking the final podium spot coming from the 5th spot on the grid.
