DJ Apolaro wins at Miami Grand Prix

Last weekend the 2019 Miami Grand Prix was held in Homestead, Florida. In the 1/8th class final DJ Apolaro, starting from the 3 spot, kept the pace at the beginning and had a good battle with Roniel Regalado. With Paolo having an early issue and Gianni as well, it was really between Ronnie and DJ. After the first pit stop cycle, Apolaro’s pitman, Ricardo Garri did a great job and they took over the lead. DJ would exchange leading over the next couple of pit stops and at the half way point he started to separate himself from the pack. The others did their tyre change but DJ did not as he planned to stick with a single set of tyres. This gave him a 2-lap lead and he never looked back to take the win. Roniel Regalado would take 2nd two laps back and Poalo Mortganti rounded out the top 3 for the last podium spot.

JConcepts Ellipse 1/10th buggy tyre

JConcepts have introduced their new Ellipse 1/10th buggy tyre in Blue, Aqua and R2 compound. Named after the center bar built into the tread, the tyre is a compliment to successful tyres such as the Dirt Webs and Space Bars. The “Web” style tyre was built to compete on smooth high-grip indoor and outdoor surfaces which require a finely detailed connected bar pattern. The centre section of the tyre is a home run utilising a diamond “home plate” footprint to provide massive forward bite and increased longevity. The web of extensions are unique and have a directional touch giving the racer the ultimate tune-ability. The compound of choice for most indoor events, the exclusive gold compound, has shown to produce consistent results for racers week after week. Now, the Ellipse is also available in the groove condition favorites, blue, Aqua and R2 compound. Included in each package, the Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts known for their durable nature and gray color complete the race tuned package.
