Infinity reveal 1/10th 200mm touring car prototype

Creation Model have revealed the prototype of their forthcoming Infinity 1/10th 200mm nitro touring car kit. The yet unnamed car makes a first public appearance during this week’s IFMAR 1/10th 200mm World Championships in Gubbio, Italy. Although sporting outsourced suspension and transmission components the development of the Miyashita designed car is pretty far which is also reflected by the very fast practice pace of the Jilles Groskamp steered example. Teamsaxo F1-180V2 1/10th formula car kit

Teamsaxo have released first renderings of their forthcoming F1-180V2 1/10th formula car. The kit will offer multiple battery mounting positions including transversal and inline mounted packs, it features a centrally mounted laydown steering servo mount, a single bellcrank steering and front arms made up of carbon fibre sheet material with inserts allowing for easy caster adjustments. Max Mächler takes German National Stock Touring title

The German National 1/10th Electric On-road nationals were held this past weekend at the RC-Sportfreunde Singen club in the south of the country. In the Touring Stock class it was Valentin Hettrich who took the pole position for the triple A-mains but problems in A1 and A3 despite a win in A2 only meant the 6th overall place while Max Mächler (Awesomatix), starting from the 2 spot on the grid, made maximum use of Valentin’s issues, taking wins in A1 and A3 to grab the overall Stock title from Alexander Stocker (Awesomatix) in second and Danuel Wohlgemuth (Xray) in third.

John Knight wins 1st Istanbul GT Night Race

Istanbul in Turkey played host to the country’s first GT Night Race for 1/8th GT cars. Held to gather interest for a possible new class next season the race was run from 7:30 pm until midnight, attracting not only many racers but also surrounding locals who followed the racing action cheering and clapping. Racing was close with John Knight and Tom How making it out for the overall TQ with John holding the upper hand and after the finals it was again John who came out fastest in the triple 5-minute runs. Tom How ended the event in second place from Mert Köroğlu in third. With the positive reception of the race the organisers now plan a series possibly starting as early as September.

BRCA 1/8 Circuit National Rd 6 – Report

The fourth round of the BRCA National series took place last weekend at the Wombwell Model Car Club, a circuit which the national championship visits twice this year, a challenging track with a very technical infield and long straight away. Saturday practice was topped by Tim Wood setting the pace, with Mark Green absent on the Saturday, it looked as if Tim would have the advantage. Heading into Sunday it appeared luck would not be on Wood’s side as Mark Green shot straight to the top of the qualifying without any practice run on either Saturday or Sunday.

Arrowmax have introduced their new 2400mAh 7.4V LiPo battery pack for transmitter and receiver applications. Measuring 86x19x17mm the straight-style battery is usable with many on-road and off-road cars, buggies and trucks while also fitting a range of transmitters. The battery comes pre-wired with a Futaba-compatible connector and a standard balancer plug for secure charging and discharging.

ProTek 170SBL Black Label high speed brushless servo

Coming soon from ProTek is the new 170SBL Black Label high speed brushless servo. The high-voltage compatible servo features a black anodised aluminium heatsink case for improved heat dissipation and a reduced weight, it utilises a metal gear train and pulls up to 38.5kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.08s. Furthermore the dual ball-raced servo comes with detachable receiver wires of 135mm and 285mm and it is usable for both 1/8th and 1/10th scale applications.

Roche 20mm progressive touring car springs

Available soon are is a new line of Roche progressive touring car springs. Made in co-operation with Speedmaster Japan the 20mm springs are made of 1.4mm wire and they are available in three different specifications of soft/yellow TS2.5-2.7, medium/red TS2.5-2.8 and hard/purple TS2.5-3.0. The Japanese-made springs are usable with almost all touring cars that utilise low-profile shock absorbers.
