Schelle Onyx Plus 2WD buggy 3-gear bearing set

Schelle Racing Innovations have introduced the Onyx Plus 3-gear bearing set for the use with the most popular 1/10th 2WD buggies. The gearbox set includes ceramic 5x10mm ball races for the high RPM topshaft and idler, as well as Onyx oiled 10x15mm bearing for the differential. The mixed set is ideal for racers who look after the wallet but wanting a specialty bearing set for their Team Associated, TLR, Kyosho, or Yokomo 2WDs.

Tamiya HKS Nissan Skyline GT-R Gr. A TT-01

Coming this June is Tamiya’s new HKS Nissan Skyline GT-R Gr. A kit on the proven TT-01 1/10th scale 4WD entry-level chassis. The kit resembled the car that dominated the 1993 All-Japan Touring Car Championship with the body offering scale details such as moulded mirrors and rear wing. Replica 5-spoke 2-piece wheels round out the body and wheel package with the kit utilising the shaft-driven TT-01 Type-E chassis that can be equipped with a host of optional tuning parts in order to up performance and appearance. The kit will become available this June.

Schelle E-Buggy cell spacer & wall

New from Schelle Racing Innovations comes their 1/8th eBuggy 10mm battery spacer and wall is a secure substitute to adjust weight bias for Team Associated, Mugen, and Xray E-Buggys. Sold as a front cell spacer, or a set with an added rear wall, racers can modify their battery box to centralise the weight of the heavy 4S battery on the chassis. The result of this setup is getting more grip exiting turns. Some modification to the existing battery compartment is required, instructions are included.

Outdoor season gets underway with ETS Spain

The European outdoor season gets underway this weekend as Spain plays host to the third round of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series. With the 12th season of the ETS producing two different winners on carpet in Austria and Germany, Round 3 will makes the change to asphalt with most drivers making no secret to the fact that this is there preferred surface to race on. The third year the championship has travelled to the Asoger RC track near Madrid, the two previous visits have seen it be a happy hunting ground for Xray. Reigning champion Bruno Coelho took the TQ and victory over Marc Rheinard in 2017 and last year team-mate Alexander Hagberg ended a 4-year ETS winning drought with the win over Yokomo’s Christopher Krapp.  While unwanted weather conditions forecast for the weekend could influence the weekend’s action, all the teams will be looking to conclude the first half of the season with what is viewed as an important win given the rest of the championship will be played out on asphalt.

Tamiya T3-01 aluminium front fork stabiliser

Tamiya have announced the soon release of an aluminium front fork stabiliser set for the T3-01 kits. The set includes a machined and blue anodised aluminium brace that reinforces the front fork for improved performance and stability while the included 6.5g and 3.6g brass weights help to fine-tune steering characteristics according to the surface and track conditions. The set will become available in May.

Dash RC R-Tune V2 modified brushless motor

Dash RC have introduced their new R-Tune V2 modified brushless motor. Designed to be lighter and faster than the previous model, the V2 variant features a high airflow arrow design with large openings in the machined aluminium can to guarantee maximum cooling efficiency, a lower weight and minimised power fading in high ambient temperatures. The redesigned stator helps to achieve a much lower internal resistance while offering increased torque which enhances the overall performance. The motor comes equipped with Japan-grade bearings for maximum efficiency and it is available in 3.5T to 8.5T specification for on-road and off-road applications.

Tamiya M-08 Concept M-chassis kit – Coming soon

Tamiya have released a first image of their forthcoming new M-08 Concept 1/10th 2WD M-chassis on-road kit. The latest incarnation of the long-running and very popular M-class touring car will feature a rear-mid motor layout and a modular design that allows easier wheelbase changes with 210mm, 225mm and 239mm setups being accessible. The kit comes equipped with a TA06/M-07 Concept-type gear differential, long-type suspension arms, 0 degree front suspension mounts, 2 degrees C-hubs, CVA shocks, universal driveshafts and high-torque servo saver being standard equipment. Also included comes a full ball bearing set. Many of the existing M-07 optionals are also usable with the M-08 and more information about the kit should become available in time for the release.

Euro Contest X – Announcement

The Euro Contest X, the 10th edition of the popular 1/8th off-road race, will be hosted by the OSPY Team club from the 21st to 23rd of June in Gussago in Northern Italy.
