Matrix rubber touring car tires

Matrix Tires, more famous for the production of foam tires, have introduced their second line of rubber tires, this time for 1/10th touring car. Round and black and supplied on white dish wheels, they are available immediately in a set of 4 and in various compounds.

Pirani RC fast fuel gun

New from Italian shop Pirani RC, is their fast fuel gun. This squeeze type gun is designed to have the best performance, super light weight and has a fully transparent body to quickly and easily check the fuel level. Also featuring an updated fuel hole size to increase the refuel speed, it will be available from the end of April.

Akio Sobue wins Speed King Tour Rd1

The 2019 season of Speed King Tour kicked off at Rajikon Tengoku Nagoya indoor tarmac track last weekend. This series caters for 1/10th electric touring car freaks since 2013 with many Japanese and oversea pro and amateur drivers attending this event which makes it one of top competition race series in Japan. This time, modified and stock touring class were run but also an oval class will be added if the race track layout allows. In qualifying for the modified class, Infinity driver Akio Sobue got  the most points but young Xray racer Takuma Sasaki took fastest lap time during the ‘Super lap’ session, which was raced by top 5 qualifiers following the 3 rounds of qualifying, which meant Akio would start 2nd, ahead of Sota Goto in third.

FX Engines K302.1 3-port engine

New from FX Engines, the K302.1 engine is an all-new 3-port engine which replaces the K302 engine. Based on the K302 engine it incorporates numerous improvements and refinements and with a focus on lower fuel consumption and a more linear power curve the crankshaft and carburettor were re-designed. The engine is fitted with a ceramic bearing and diamond-coated crankshaft which has been individually balanced with a tungsten weight and included is a low profile 7-rib engine head which has a lower weight than the standard engine head and gives a lower CG to make the car more stable on fast tracks. Significant improvements were incorporated in the production & assembly processes, with new and even more precise quality inspection with all parts individually measured and then specially selected and matched to increase engine reliability, performance, and quality.

Xray GTX8 1/8th Nitro GT chassis

Xray have introduced the GTX8, the latest evolution of their 1/8th GT platform based off their successful XB8 1/8th offroad buggy. Featuring a whole wrath of changes that includes all new front & rear diffs with increased oil capacity to increase traction & consistency, other changes include new front upper arms with reduced caster to improve the steering characteristics and decreases tire wear. Harder lower front arms aim to increase response and corner speed, while car’s backbone, the chassis fits soft & hard radio trays to adjust flex for various track conditions. In the back of the car there is new rear uprights with 8x16x5mm outer ball-bearings for increased reliability and lifespan, all new narrower rear suspension arm holders and longer rear arms for increased stability & grip. There is a new 4-shoe clutch with significantly improved gear-shifting, better engagement, improved acceleration & reduced wear, while on all 4 corners there is updated shock membranes with reduced air gap and an all-new shock cap with 4 vent holes to compliment the new shock membrane. A longer rear camber link and the inclusion of 2.8mm front and 3.0mm rear anti-roll bars complete the changes.

Yokomo general purpose chassis bag

Yokomo have announced their new general purpose chassis bag. The bag has been made from a sturdy, thick canvas material that is resistant to rubbing, tearing and of course protects from unexpected knocks and bangs yet is soft enough to protect your precious chassis/body shell or transmitter from scratches whilst in transit to the track. The size is around 51cm × 31cm which is large enough to fit a 1/10 scale RC car chassis and body and is printed with the latest Yokomo factory team logo.

Mugen Seiki MBX8 Worlds Edition Nitro Buggy kit

Mugen Seiki have released the MBX8 Worlds Edition Nitro Buggy kit. It includes many of option parts used by Mugen Seiki drivers at the 2018 IFMAR World Championship where the Japanese brand had four MBX8’s in the 60 Minute final with Ryan Maifield finishing on the podium. The MBX8 Worlds Edition includes inline front uprights that have smoother steering compared to the stock trailing front uprights and work great in high traction conditions. The -3mm front upright arms are also included and improve the initial steering response and make the vehicle more stable through the middle and exit of the corner. Different transmission parts are also supplied such as the 46 tooth HTD spur gear, 12T bevel gear, 42T conical gear, front and rear-centre dogbones and finally the +15mm wing mount.
