The Greek Fanatix Racing Track in Stamata, Attiki is another venue of Xray’s growing Xray Winter Series that spreads across Europe this coming 2015/16 season. The five round national series kicks off on the 6th of December with the final round taking place on the 3rd of April. The series is held in the four classes of Touring Modified, Formula, 1/10th Pancar and 1/12th Pancar and race registration can be found here.

The final round of the Indonesian Electric On-road National Championship was held at the East RC Speedway, Jakarta. Going into the event Bowie Ginting was points leader in the 13.5T Boosted Touring class and he only needed to qualify for the A-main in order to take this year’s title. Bowie soon made his intentions clear to round out a perfect season with another win as he took a pretty undefeated TQ some five seconds clear of Muhammad Izzah and Peter Anthonijsz while Christian Mamesah rounded out the top 4. The opening A-main then was won by Bowie after an unlucky Muhammad collided with a tyre barrier that was hit and thrown on the straight. Two laps down Ronald Kasengkang ended the opening leg in second position. The second A-main again had Bowie coming out fastest, this time from Izzah and Peter. The overall win also handed Bowie the national title and he would sit out A3 to let the other drivers battle for the runner-up spot. Ultimately Muhammad Izzah grabbed the win in the final A-main to end the day in second place from Peter Anthonijsz who rounded out the top 3 result.
Roche Products International have announced the signing of multiple IFMAR 1/12th and 2014 ISTC World Champion Naoto Matsukura to race the company’s Rapide P12 1/12th scale pan car in the coming season. His campaign will also include the 2016 1/12th World Championships in China and additionally Naoto will help with further R&D work on Roche’s Rapide P12 platform.

Modelix from Spain have updated their Nitrolux fuel range to meet with the new regulations and market requirements. Available are special off-road blends containing 10, 16 and 25 percent nitro as well as 16 and 25 percent nitro on-road specific fuels. All are available in updated plastic cans with child security caps and in sizes of one, two and five litres, depending on the blend.

Xray have introduced their updated formula car kit for the 2016 season, the X1 2016. Based off of the back-to-back ETS championship winning car the refined 2016 specification kit features a new floating servo system that allows to mount the steering servo hanging above the chassis as seen in most of today’s touring cars while flippable servo mounts also provide chassis-based fixing. Both ways allow to fine-tune the flex and grip characteristics of the chassis and thus the overall handling.
Tamyia’s FF-04 Evo FWD touring car will soon become available as a special Black Edition kit. The vehicle will feature all-black aluminium parts such as bulkheads, steering and shock details to separate from the standard blue-themed kit. Given the information available the kit will feature the latest big bore shock absorbers and also an aluminium bumper mount as well as an updated motor mount and motor plate to stiffen up the front end but more information should become available in time for the release in December.

The well-known EWS Events team have announced the third edition of the popular International Carpet Challenge event will take place on the weekend of 19-21 February 2016 at their indoor venue near Southend, UK. The race, which will feature classes for Modified and Super Stock Touring Car, plus Formula 1, has grown over the last two years and attracts many drivers from across Europe. As well as the top UK drivers, last year’s runner up Christopher Krapp has already informed us that he plans to attend again. Additionally, a number of Europe’s top Modified, Stock and Formula racers are expected to make the trip to England. Entries for the event, which will also feature a Saturday night drivers’ party at a nearby venue, are now open and will be capped at 150 to ensure a full race program with plenty of track time for everyone can be completed.
