Christian Lehm takes Danish Formula title

Christian Lehm takes Danish Formula title

The final round of the Danish Formula Championship was held at the Odense track. Originally designed for large scale cars the track proved to be pretty big for the small 1/10th scale cars and the layout made for high speeds and a lot of slipstream racing. The race also attracted some racers from abroad and so racing was tight and at the end Christian Lehm (Xray) was able to grab the TQ, the day’s win and the overall title. Johnni Lyng came in second while Henrik Rasmussen rounded out the all-Xray podium in third.

DJ Apolaro wins 200mm class at Great Lakes Challenge

Last weekend’s Great Lakes Challenge saw Capricorn’s DJ Apolaro (Capricorn/Novarossi) walking away with the win in the 1/10th 200mm Sedan class. Already very consistent in qualifying DJ was able to pretty much control the main final thanks to a good pit strategy, swift refuelling and a tyre-saving drive to take the win in front of Paolo Morganti (Serpent/Picco) and Ralph Burch (Xray/Max Power).

Teamsaxo T4 carbon fibre chassis & upper deck

Teamsaxo T4 carbon fibre chassis & upper deck

Teamsaxo have a new carbon fibre main chassis and top deck available for the Xray T4 touring car. Starting with the chassis, the part is cut from 2.2mm carbon fibre and due to the design and material used the main plate will twist more in the centre, moving away flex from the bulkhead area for a more stable car at high speed. Also new is a 2.0mm upper deck whose standard angle layup carbon fibre will make for improved flex and thus it is recommended for the use on low to medium grip asphalt tracks.
