Lee Martin doubles at BRCA 1/10th Buggy Nats Rd5

Round five of the BRCA 1/18th Buggy National Championship was held at Titchfield Off Road Club Hampshire this past weekend. The new track layout was long and very fast and with the incorporated jump sections, certainly another different great test for the competitors. The weekend started off with 2WD on Saturday and it was Neil Cragg who put his Team Associated buggy on pole position for the triple A-finals. Yokomo’s Lee Martin and Tom Cockerill came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Alex Schlatterer wins Nitro Fish Fun Race

The Nitro Fish Fun Race was held the multi surface track of the MAC Brombachsee in Germany. In the Nitro Buggy main final Alex Schlatterer (Xray) took the win from Xray teammate Andreas Heublein while Thorsten Geißler (Mugen) rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Team Azarashi YZ-2 Fascia bodyshell

Coming soon from Team Azarashi is the Fascia bodyshell for the Yokomo YZ-2 2WD mid motor off-road buggy. Offering Azarashi’s distinctive cabin design that highly separates itself from the current breed of radically shaped cab forward bodies the Fascia sports a somewhat oldschool shape with flowing lines and a pretty narrow cab. The body is made from clear, high-quality polycarbonate and shaped to snuggly fit around the chassis lines.

2015 Summer Scorcher – Report

Last weekend drivers from all over the Southeast headed down to Savannah, GA to one of the oldest tracks in the country, Phil Hurd Raceway, for the annual Summer Scorcher. With a little over 160 entries in several nitro and electric classes, it was shaping up to be a great event with a very fitting name. With the temperature reaching 97 degrees and a heat index of 103, it was hot.

Radtec 2.01mm & 3.01mm arm reamers

Radtec have introduced two new arm reamer tools for the use with a range of vehicles. Made from high-quality steel material and coming titanium-coated for durability the tools are made to slightly widen the suspension pin holes of lower A-arms in order to make for binding-free operation. The tools are available in a 2.01mm and 3.01mm variant and they sport lightweight CNC-machined aluminium handles with a diamond pattern surface for convenient usage.

Extended Ielasi Tuned engine range

Ielasi Tuned, the brand of Italian frontrunner and former IFMAR World Champion Daniele Ielasi, has expanded their range of hand-tuned engines by four new 1/8th on-road, buggy and GT engines. Adding to the already available extra long stroke 9 and 3-ports on-road engines are two long stroke 9 and 7-port variants for 1/8th on-road applications. Also available now are the 4-port buggy and the 5-port, IFMAR-legal, rally/GT engine. All engines, except for the buggy variant, make use of the R7-16 conrod.

AKA Slicks 1/10th buggy tyres

AKA is the latest company to introduce treadless slick tyres for 1/10th off-road buggies. Designed for maximum performance on high-grip, indoor clay tracks they are available in Clay compound only and compatible with the AKA Evo 2.4″ wheels or Hexlite 2.2″ wheels with the Evo conversion kit. Available as 2WD or 4WD front/rear pairs with red inserts, or 2WD/4WD rear pairs pre-mounted on Evo wheels.

Following a dedicated line of Precision Spur Gears for the Team Durango DEX line of buggies Revolution Design Racing Products now introduce a Precision Spur Gear for the use with the Team Associated B44.3 4WD off-road buggy. Coming in the wide Revolution2 version the mein gear offers high durability when using low-turn modified motors while providing exceptional efficiency for stock spec classes too. The gear is available in a 81T variant only.
