Michael Schoettler wins at Northwest Indoor Series Rd1

Last weekend kicked off the first round of the Northwest Indoor Series in Tacoma, Washington at Tacoma R/C Raceway. A race series that wasn’t supposed to exist, but with a last minute decision by Scott Brown and a little help from the community … the most competitive off-road racing series in the pacific northwest is back. This unique event caters to all the passionate off-road racers in efforts to unite the community for a weekend of friendship, competition, and fun.

ProTek R/C TruTemp infrared thermometer

ProTek R/C’s TruTemp infrared thermometer will give an instant, accurate temperature reading of electric motors, nitro engines, battery pacsk or any other heat sensitive equipment. The large LCD screen is easily read day or night thanks to its bright backlight display. The thermometer features four modes of quick, can, maximum value and minimum value. It can also be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius scales with a range of -40°–716°F or -40°C–380°C. To conserve the device’s battery life an auto-off timer is preset from the factory for 1-minute.

Taylor Petersen doubles at The Lone Star Classic

The Lone Star Classic was held at Indy R/C World in Garland, TX which attracted some of the top Pros from nearby states. TLR’s Taylor Petersen dominated both Pro classes with a pair of TQ’s once qualifying was finished. Petersen then was able to drive both his TLR rides to victory in the gruelling long main events.

Amezcua doubles at Mexican Off-Road Regionals

The final round of the Mexican Off-Road Regionals took place at Colima, Mexico with drivers from Colima, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Puerto Vallarta in attendance to battle it out in the classes of 1/8th Nitro Buggy and Nitro Truggy. Rafael Amezcua took the TQ in the Buggy class but suffered a flameout at the start of the main, causing him to start late. After fighting his way up the field in dominating fashion Rafael was able to take the win despite the bad start into the final and he left fellow Mugen racer Javier Cabildo behind in 2nd. Jose Lopez rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Xray sweep Slovakia Cup Rd2

The 2nd round of famous Slovakian Cup was held at the prestigious Hudy Arena in Trencin, Slovakia. In the Touring Car Modified class it was David Nemcek who got his maiden 1st place finish this year at the Slovakia Cup after coming in 2nd at the season opener. David is now leading the overall ranking with a 12 points margin. The runner-up spot at round 2 went to Igor Liptak while Oliver Havranek rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Intech ERSC-10 1/10th 4WD short course truck

Intech have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming ERSC-10 1/10th scale 4WD short course truck. No further information are available yet but it is understood that the truck is based off of the BR-6E 1/8th 4WD buggy and it will hit stores in January 2015. We bring you more information as soon as they become available.

Drake doubles at AZRCR Championship Series finale

Last weekend Fear Farm Raceway hosted the final round of the AZRCR Championship Series. The final event had a slight delay Saturday morning due to mother nature, but racing got started around 12:00 after a short practice session. Billy Fischer set the pace in round one of Buggy and Adam Drake did the same in Truck. In round two Drake set the pace in both classes to take the overall TQ positions. Drake led both finals from start to finish to sweep the final round of the series.
