Following last year’s great success Ryan Lutz is running another Trophy Charity Auction to raise money for a good cause. Ryan currently has 14 auctions up and running from some of his best results from the 2014 racing season with all of the trophies being signed by the “Lutzinator” himself. Ari Bakla wins at Proline Challenge Australia finale

The final round of the Proline Challenge Australia was held at LRRCC in super hot weather conditions in the morning and thunderstorms in the afternoon that made it hard to keep up with the changing conditions. In the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class Ari Bakla came out successful in front of Dallas Gardiner while Shane Kelly rounded out the podium in 3rd. The Nitro Truggy class had Wade Lazich walking away with the win from Brendhan Wade and Shane Kelly in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Elliott Boots renews with Kyosho

Kyosho announce the 2-year contract renewal with Elliott Boots through to 2016. Continuing as a full factory driver Elliott, who recently also re-signed his contract with engine sponsor Reds Racing, will attend at the BRCA 1/10th nationals and the 1/8th Rallycross national series, as well as all major international races including Euros and World Championships.

SkyRC Motor Analyser brushless motor tester

New from SkyRC comes the Motor Analyser, a device to test and fine-tune electric brushless motors. The motor tester offers KV measurement, voltage, RPM and Amp draw tests as well as timing and hall sensor checks together with a noise level test that allows to draw conclusions on the conditions of the ball bearings. Coming in a sturdy aluminium case the device sports a back-lit display, jog dial menu operation and it includes an array of wires such as a sensor cable, motor connection wires and power input adapters.

Shin Adachi joins SWorkz nitro team

SWorkz announce the signing of Japanese frontrunner Shin Adachi to their nitro racing team. Shin will be racing the national nitro series in 2015, starting his new endeavour in Pattaya this coming weekend joining fellow SWorkz racer Atsushi Hara. Shin said “I am very excited to be given this chance to race with SWorkz. Thank you SWorkz and Scott. I will do my best”

GForce Mini Break-in system

GForce introduce the Mini Break-in system for mini and micro-size brushed motors. Designed for the use with Tamiya’s Mini 4WD series of “slot cars”, the system is also usable for the brushed motors found in Kyosho’s Mini-Z or HPI’s Micro RS4 line of vehicles. The motor run-in system is housed in a sturdy case with a jog dial to adjust the output voltage and also a timer that stops the run-in process after a certain time. A non-slip foam pad and a velcro strap prevent the chassis or motor from moving around and the break-in device is powered by four AA-size batteries or an optional power supply.

TLR 22-4 LRC 2.0 degree & 2.5 degree rear blocks

Available now from TLR and made for the 22-4 4WD buggy are two new rear pivot blocks. Coming in low roll centre specification and with 2.5 and 2.0 degree toe-in setting the blocks are made to free-up the rear end of the buggy compared to the standard 3.0 degree part. CNC-machined from aluminium and coming gun metal anodised the 2.5 degree part is best used on medium bite surfaces while the 2.0 degree part helps to make the buggy rotate better in and out of turns on very high-bite tracks.
