Fantom Icon Pro Modified & Pro Spec motors

Coming soon from Fantom Racing are their new Icon Pro Modified and Pro Spec electric brushless motors. The heart of the motors are the patented design stator and patent pending tuning pins with the two features promising greatly improved performance in terms of torque and RPM. The stator provides maximum torque and RPM while the tuning pins eliminate the need for stator screws while allowing to fine-tune RPM vs. torque. The motor is available in the most coming modified and stock windings and it is widely factory-tuneable in terms of rotors, bearings and other options.

Xpress multi-functional parts tray

Xpress have introduced their new multi-functional parts tray. Constructed from black and red anodised aluminium as well as high-quality carbon fibre the tray offers four pockets for small parts as well as two larger openings to hold differentials during building, setup and maintenance.  Also included are 2mm, 4mm and 5mm sections to hold banana-style connectors during soldering.

T-Works MP9E Evo graphite centre gearbox plate

T-Works have introduced a graphite centre gearbox plate for the Kyosho MP9E Evo 1/8th E-Buggy. The plate releases the standard item for a lighter and cooler looking part. It is a direct replacement and understood to work exclusively with the Evo spec kit.

2018 XRS Alpe Adria finale – Report

The final round of the 2018 Xray Racing Series Alpe Adria was held at the Tolmin track in Slovenia with entries from Austria, Croatia, Italy and Slovenia. The race was held in Touring Stock 13.5T XRS, Formula, 1/8th IC Track as well as 1/8th GT classes. In 1/10th Touring it was Alojzij Osvald who took the day’s win in front of Zeljko Selman. Patrik Pozgaj rounded out the all-Xray top 3.

Phend tops 1st Controlled Practice in Perth

With things finally getting official at the 1:8 Offroad World Championships after 6 free practice runs over 4 days, it was Dakotah Phend who topped the opening round of controlled practice in Perth, Australia. The TLR driver posted a best time of 1:39.697 for his fastest 3-consecutive laps to set the pace ahead of Xray’s Bruno Coelho. Running in the heat just before Phend, Coelho managed a time of 1:39.957 around the MORBC track with both drivers having an almost identical fastest lap. Running in Heat 13 of 18, Davide Ongaro would complete the Top 3 followed by Jared Tebo, Naoto Matsukura and Australia’s own Aaron Stringer. For reigning champion David Ronnefalk, who topped the final free practice yesterday, the first of the 2 seeding rounds would see him with the 7th fastest time, a full second down on Phend.

Tamiya Avante 2011 Black Special 4WD buggy kit

Coming soon from Tamiya is the re-release kit of the Avante 2011 Black Special, a limited edition of the iconic Avante buggy. Already a re-release back in 2011, the kit will now make another appearance on the market, pleasing collectors and vintage racer alike. The 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit will include a number of option parts such as the racing steering and ball differential torque splitter set – the latter two sets will also become available separately as an upgrade for older spec kits. All items will become available by mid-December.

Team Associated Tri T-shirt & zip-up hoodie

Team Associated have introduced their new Tri design T-shirt and zip-up hoodie. The black T-shirt is made of 100 percent pre-shrunk cotton and available in eight sizes. Colourful triangles emblazon the front while a white #WeAreAE logo decorates the back. As for the hoodie, it features the same 3-triangle design as the Tri T-shirt, it has long sleeves, two front pockets, and full-colour designs on the front and back. The hoodie is available in six sizes.

Monaco RC transportation & storage bags

Coming from Monaco RC are new high-quality transportation and storage bags for a variety of RC accessories. Available in two different sizes the black-colour bags sport a Monaco RC zipper for looks and they are available in different configurations such as the motor and ESC fan bag that holds two 540-class motors, two fans, two spare rotors as well as a speed controller. The second bag features a pre-cut foam for the iCharger X6 while two different bags for five standard or four shorty batteries round out the specialised series. Also available are the small 16x12x7cm bag ideal for tools while the medium-size 22x17x7cm bag can hold bigger items such as a power supply, tyre warmers etc. All backs include an inner mesh section to hold manuals, wires and more.
