GForce TS 50A Type-C sensored brushless ESC

Available soon from GForce is the TS 50A Type-C sensored brushless speed controller. The “non-boost” club-level speedo measures 35.3×32.4×19.7mm, and is made for the use with 2S LiPo batteries. A burst current of 300A allows to use down to 8.5T motors in on-road and 11.5T motors in off-road applications while the GForce’s optional Progbox helps to fine-tune the throttle and brake settings when needed. The speed controller come pre-wired with Tamiya-compatible battery and motor plugs and sports a dust-protected on/off switch for added security.

JConcepts RT6 & CT4.2 MM Finnisher bodyshell

JConcepts introduce the Finnisher bodyshell for the Kyosho RT6 stadium truck in mid motor configuration. The slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance highlight a performance oriented core. A revised front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for the unique RT6 geometry while smoothing out the front down force area. Front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight and the body has built-in air escape passages which allow the customer to fine-tune the body for maximum outdoor performance. The body includes a high performance gurney spoiler which increases rear grip and it also has the necessary geometry to fit the Centro CT4.2 conversion vehicle.

Pro-Line LockDown 1/8th buggy tyre

Available from June is Pro-Line’s latest 1/8th off-road tyre called the LockDown. Coming in a range of compounds such as the X2 to X4 as well as the M3 and M4, the tyre makes use of a distinctive block tread with outer X-shaped pins. More information about the tyre and its applications should become available soon.

Schumacher re-release the iconic 2 x 20 Stud front tyre in yellow compound. With greater speeds, traction and differing weight distributions, drivers are demanding a different tyre set up. Suitable for 4WD front and 2WD medium front this tyre sits in between the Mini Spike and Stagger tyres in terms of front traction, further enabling fine tuning of the handling characteristics. The tyre is suitable for grass and astro surfaces and comes as pair.

During this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show Tamiya has a lot of new kits on show some of which we already showed to you such as the TB Evo.6, the TB-04 Pro II, the TRF201XMW or the TRF101W. But there is more such as the re-release of the Honda NSX on Tamiya’s iconic 2WD pan car chassis, the Toyota Mountaineer gets a revival as Mountain Rider and here is a cray Lowride Pumpkin coming based on the M-Chassis. All of these kits will become available this Summer.

Hirosaka 540-class brushless stock motors

Hirosaka Racing Products introduce a new line of brushless stock motors. They are based around a black anodised can with huge venting holes, they offer adjustable timing and heavy-duty solder tabs. The motors will become available all popular “stock” windings from 10.5T up to 21.5T and are usable for on-road and off-road applications alike.

Following the introduction of the KO Propo Esprit-IV radio we can show you another high-level stick radio that is due for a soon release. The Futaba T4GRS makes use of the company’s T-FHSS transmission system, it offers telemetry functions and is believed to sport features comparable to Futaba’s 4PLS pistol grip transmitter as it shares its screen and jog dial/button layout. No word yet on a release date but we keep you up to date.

Luis Fernando Ramirez wins at Mexican nationals Rd2

The 2nd round of the Mexican Off-raod Nationals was held in Chihuahua, on one of the most aggressive tracks in Mexico with around 90 drivers attending. Luis Fernando Ramirez put his buggy on pole position for the 45 minute final that the young man lead for nearly all of the time. At the end he was able to cross the finish line in first place followed by Jorge Acosta and Juan Gonzalez who completed the Nitro Buggy podium.
