PowerStar RS472HV Sanwa-compatible receiver

PowerStar have introduced their new Sanwa-compatible RS472HV receiver. Coming in the same case as the Futaba-compatible variant, the receiver is usable with transmitters such as the new M17 as well as the M12S, M12, MT-44, MT-4S, MT-S and MT-4. The full range 4-channel receiver measures 35.5×23.3×12.7mm, it is usable with 3.5V to 8.4V input and its firmware can be updated, making it future ready.

Arndt Bernhard takes German 200mm 40+ title

Last weekend the German 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring Championship took place at the popular AMC Hamm track. Difficult conditions with a lot of rain and changing temperatures made it really hard to find a proper setup for the cars but in the end it was the Shepherd duo of Arndt Bernhard and Marcus May that secured themselves the 2018 German 40+ Champion and 40+ Vice-Champion title.

Ultimate Racing 5800mAh & 4000mAh LiHV shorty packs

Next in the line of Ultimate Racing’s new LiHV batteries are two 5800mAh and 4000mAh shorty packs. First up is the beefy 5800mAh variant that measures 95x47x25mm and that weighs in at 218g. Built from high-performance 120C high-voltage cells the battery is ideal for both Modified and Stock racing and its high capacity also allows to use it as a lightweight dual 2S setup in 1/8th buggies and on-road cars. Lighter and slightly smaller is the 4000mAh variant that measures 92x47x18mm, weighing in at 144g. The low centre of gravity pack also utilises 120C cells for high power and durability and it is the ideal choice for 1/10th off-road and on-road cars. Both of the above batteries are housed in protective hardcases and the utilise 5mm connectors.

CTS3 finale – Report

Once again the final round of the CTS3 was held at Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, California. As the points chase tightens up for the last round, racers brought their best game. In Modified Rick Hohwart led the series with Brandon Clements and David Jun tied for 2nd. In qualifying it was Brandon who locked up TQ and a die-hard finish to the end with applied pressure by Hohwart who then had bad luck on 2nd to last lap allowing Jun to get by but Jun ran out of time allowing Clements to clinch the overall title as he is crowned the 2018 CTS3 Champion for Modified Touring.

Louth R/C Car Club Winter Series – Announcement

The Louth Radio Control Car Club has announced the second running of its Schumacher Winter Series. Off the back of last year’s successful club championship, the rules and format have remained the same. The series has four different classes, 13.5 Blinky, 17.5 Open, GT12, and Tamiya Euro Trucks. The emphasis is on the racing, and not the size of the budget, or the equipment each driver has. The club has brought the feeling of a big event, with banners, race reports and pictures, but placed it within a club environment. The warm-up race will be held on October 21st with the series kicking off on November 11th. All dates, rules and regulations can be found here and here.

Zergard Latrach wins at Campeonata Lattitude Rd4

The fourth round of the Campeonata Lattitude 33 RC Chile took place in La Sirena, Chile. Gaston Zergard Latrach would TQ and take the top spot on the podium as JQ teammate Sebastian Azocar Lucchini would finish in 2nd place and Matias Sebastian Moreno Ampuero (Mugen) in 3rd place.

JConcepts Ford F-250 Traxxas Stampede body shell

Coming from JConcepts is the Ford F-250 body shell for the Traxxas Stampede truck. The 1989 Ford body built and fit for the Traxxas Stampede offers first class styling and its exterior is accentuated with a smooth and moulded front and rear bumper. The must-have body of the 1980’s was featured on several of the most popular full-size monster trucks during this generation and always proved to be popular among the Ford enthusiasts and always wreaked havoc on the competition. The 1989 F-series carries over the same body style from the previous generation, yet sports a new rounded front clip that improves vehicle aerodynamics over its predecessors. The softened body lines around the rear of the bed and large fender arches around the wheel wells provides the scale monster truck look. The body features flush-fitting grille and headlights, wrap-around parking lights, a minimalist grille and an accurate and clean-looking Ford and JConcepts decal sheet.

Tadahiko & Yuya Sahashi join Infinity

Reigning 1:8 Onroad World Champions Infinity have announced the signing of the sport’s most successful siblings – the Sahashi brothers. The well known Japanese brothers have been a leading force in nitro onroad racing and bring a wealth of knowledge the Japanese manufacturer bolstering its efforts for the 1:10 Onroad World Championships later this year. Both multiple World finalists, younger brother Tadahiko was crowned the 1:8 World Champion in 2013 with Yuya crowned 1:10 Vice-Champion the following year. With Yuya also making the podium at the 2015 1:8 World Championships, this was a particularly special moment for the popular brothers with Tadahiko also making the final in Brazil. The Sahashi pairing will spend the coming weeks getting familiar with Infinity’s new European Championship winning IF15 as preparation for their Worlds debut with Infinity at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the USA in October.
