Rob Janssen takes Dutch Touring Stock title

The fifth round of the Dutch Electric On-road Nationals was held in Utrecht recently. With two TQ runs Rob Janssen (Team Magic) would secure the pole position for the Touring Stock A-mains in front of Infinity’s Jitse Miedema. A1 was pretty much smooth sailing for Rob, however with the sun coming out for A2, things changed a bit on favour of Jitse who was hot on the heels of Rob for the entire main, however Rob brought home the win in A2 also, taking the day’s win and with it the overall title. Jitse Miedema came in 2nd, in front of ARC’s Frank Baggen.

Michal Orlowski doubles at oOple Invernational

The 2018 oOple Invernational was held at Robin Hood Raceway with some of the country’s fastest 1/10th off-road drivers as well as guests from abroad in attendance. In the 2WD Mod Buggy class it was Poland’s Michal Orlowski who set the pace, taking the TQ and the wins in the triple A-main events. Ben Jemison came in 2nd from Greg Williams 3rd. Hames Helliwell and Eugene Galley completed the top 5 result.

Yeah Racing aluminium parts trays

Yeah Racing have introduced their new aluminium parts trays in orange and blue colour. Machined from high-quality aluminium the trays offer three compartments to hold small parts during building setup and maintenance while two machined holes take ball differentials while filling them with fluid. The trays also sport 2mm, 4mm and 5mm holes to hold bullet-type connectors during soldering and a ruler allows to conveniently measure screw sizes.

William Skidmore wins at NRS Rd5

The fifth round of this year’s NRS was hosted at the North West Nitro Track near Blackpool over the weekend. Agama’s William Skidmore took the TQ after the qualifiers and the win in the A-main, leaving behind Kyosho’s Kieran Cox in 2nd, a lap down. HB Racing’s Mick Butler complex the top 3 result nine seconds behind Kieran.

Tamiya Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT Yaris WRC TT-02 kit

The latest body shell variant of Tamiya’s popular TT-02 entry-level 4WD touring car is the Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT Yaris WRC. The shaft-driven chassis sports a longitudinal layout with the battery on the left and the motor on the right, giving great stability. In addition, it features identical left and right suspension arms and uprights for ease of assembly, plus easy-to-maintain gearboxes. It is a highly adaptable chassis, as it offers two different wheelbases, two ground clearance settings and two tread set-ups in addition to a range of ten possible gear ratios. It is not short on looks either, with brake disc-shaped wheel hubs and stylish front bumper supports. Gun metal colour dish wheels and tread-pattern tyres make for a racy finish. The kit comes including a detailed Yaris WRC body shell and a huge decal sheet.

Mattia Polito dominates Kyosho International Meeting

The Campogalliano track in Modena, Italy played host to the 17th Kyosho International Meeting last weekend. In the F1 Expert Nitro Buggy class it was young Mattia Polito who scored the hattrick of TQ, win and fastest lap, leaving behind Elliott Boots in 2nd and Fabrizio Teghesi in 3rd.

RC-Lemans Series finale – Report

The final round of the RC-Lemans Series was held at the EVMC Velp track in The Netherlands. The season finale also was the warm-up for the forthcoming 29th German National Championships what will be held at the same track. Like last year the title decision would be made only at the final round with Kai and Tim Altmann battling it out for the overall in the fast LMP1 class. Over in LMP2 Stock Rainer Schad, with three wins, was in the best position for the overall. However local hero Mathijs Hermens and 2015 Champion Sascha Lennartz were still in the mix, making things entertaining.
