Finnich & Mortensen win in Nykobing Falster

The first round of the Danish electric on-road nationals was held at the LFRC club in Nykobing Falster, around 130 kilometres away from Copenhagen. The track is a little bit bumpy, but it was the same issue for all drivers and in the Touring Car Modified class it was Stefan Finnich who was able to make the best out of the track conditions. Lars Holm made a good pressure on Stefan, but Stefan drove very cold, and kept Lars behind him. Gustav Pind just started and will be very fast one day.

Valentin Hettrich wins at South German regionals Rd2

The 2nd round of the South German electric on-road regionals was held in Ingolstadt. Valentin Hettrich was on a mission and set TQ in the Touring Car class to take the pole position for the A-main finals that he later won in style to take the day’s win in front of Stefan Strung and Sven Kornprobst.

Team C TC10 long shock absorber conversion kit

Following yesterdays teaser images Team C now officially introduce the long shock conversion kit for the TC10 touring car. It includes four threaded aluminium shock bodies in long specification, standard springs, titanium nitride coated shock shafts as well as updated shock towers to accommodate the now longer shocks. Swapping the standard low-profile shocks for longer items will make for improved traction and easier setup in low to medium grip conditions.

Sobue & Kiyomoto defend PRCA titles

The PRCA final race was held at the GRC asphalt track in Gimpo, South Korea. In the Touring Car Modified class TQ holder Akio Sobue (Tamiya) took the win from Ryan Lee (TOP) and Ahn Jung Hyun (Awesomatix). The 13.5T Open class had Masami Kiyomoto (ARC) taking the win from Jo Chadol (Yokomo) while TQ holder Yoon Pansik (Yokomo) had to settle for 3rd. The victories of last year’s PRCA Japan winners Akio Sobue and Masami Kiyomoto allowed both to defend their titles and they will be invited to next year’s PRCA final in Singapore.

McPappy Racing Pinion Trees

McPappy Racing introduce their Pinion Tree holder for 36 64 pitch pinions. Designed to last a lifetime the holder is made with the highest quality materials like real 4mm thick carbon fibre to save weight and to protect the teeth of the pinions. The core is machined from a solid block of aluminium and comes in your choice of four different colours with custom colours also being available. The pins are hardened and polished tool steel and the pinion tooth numbers are laser etched into the carbon fibre. The pinions were variably placed to efficiently use the space, allowing to fit 36 gears from 34T through to 70T. The Pinion Tree is available assembled or unassembled, and empty or loaded with CRC 64P pinions.

Nitro-West-Masters season end – Report

The 2014 Nitro-West Masters championship culminated at the final round, run in Dormagen, with the titles being grabbed by Uwe Baldes in 1/8th scale and René Puepke in 1/10th scale on-road as well as by Matthias Guenther and Thorsten Lewandowski in the 1/8th and 1/10th Hobby-Cup classes. A total of 109 nitro racers, compared to 91 in 2013, did attend the six races of this growing championship in Oberhausen, Dueren, Bad Breisig, Haltern, Velp (NL) and Dormagen.

Shepherd Velox V10 Pro hard compound wishbones

New from Shepherd and made for the Velox V10 Pro are hard compound lower A-arms. Due to a higher percentage of glass fibres mixed into the raw material the arms are noticeably stiffer than the stock parts, making them ideal when running in high ambient temperatures or on high traction tracks. The arms are a direct replacement and available now.

Andy Moore wins EWS Opener

The first round of the 2014-2015 Essex Winter Series took place this weekend. A capacity entry of 120 drivers kicked off the championship, which featured a change in the class structure and a move to the new Ride REX 30 carpet tire. The Zen Racing Modified class featured a stacked entry, with everyone out to wrestle the title from Team Durango’s Elliott Harper. The opening qualifying round saw 2006 World Champion Andy Moore, making his UK debut with the new HPI HB Pro 5, top the timesheets, narrowly ahead of Elliott, and multi-time UK National Champion Chris Grainger.
