2014 UISP Italian National Outdoor Champs – Report

The 2014 UISP Italian National Outdoor Championships were held in Bientina, close to Pisa with more than 60 drivers participating in the three classes of Touring Car Modified, 13.5T blinky F1 and 13.5T blinky F2. The schedule saw to controlled practice rounds on Saturday morning followed by three qualifying rounds while two more qualifiers and triple mains were run on Sunday.

German Pro10 national championship - Report

The 24th German Pro10 national championships were held at the MBC Bamberg track in Southern Germany. The track was open for practice from Wednesday on with the event would officially start on Saturday morning with timed practice runs. A total of 49 driver from the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Germany attended in the three classes of Pro10 Modified, Pro10 Stock 10.5T non-boost and 2WD Fun. In the premier class of Pro10 Modified a battle for the TQ arose between four drivers with 2013 vice-champion Tobias Weist taking the pole position for the finals in front of local hero Alexander Graßer and Sven Stoffels. On his way to the TQ Tobias clocked a new Pro10 lap record of 14.773s – only 174/1000th of a second lower than the 1/8th nitro on-road lap record.

RB Rally Xtrem rally game engine

For the expanding 1/8th scale rally game market French company RB introduce their Rally Xtrem engine. Based on the experience gained with the original Rally engine, RB focussed on an efficient power output on both ends of the RPM spectrum. The engine features a 7-port sleeve with MES and two extra lubrication holes, a machined, both hard wearing and lightweight piston, and a new, balanced 14.5mm turbo crankshaft with silicon inserts. The engine now also comes with a black coated crankcase and it is available separately or including a 2092 in-line exhaust set.

Reflex Racing RSD7 2015 touring car kit

Reflex Racing introduce the RSD7 2015 electric touring car kit based on the Team Associated TC6.2. After close to a year of development on the TC6.2 platform, Reflex Racing have decided to package together their essential upgrades to release the RSD7 2015. The kit includes all the parts needed to build a rolling chassis kit and as it is based off of the TC6.2, the box includes the original TC6.2 chassis plus the RSD7 aluminium chassis, providing you with two different chassis to build with. Other option parts that made it into the box are the lightweight suspension kit, an aluminium inner servo mount, an adjustable carbon fibre battery stop, RSD TC6.2 springs, 315 pistons and soft bladders beside other gizmos. The kit is available now for pre-order and will become available end of September to early October.

BRCA 1/8 Circuit National Championship Rd7 – Report

With the season into its closing stages, it was back to Mendip at Weston Super Mare for round 7 of 9. With the last two Mendip visits being subjected to rain in the finals, it was third time lucky for a completely dry qualification and finals. With a strong entry of 40 plus drivers, the competition was set to be very strong. With current championship leader Tim Wood absent due to holiday commitments allowed the chasing pack to take full advantage and possibly take over the championship lead at the end of the day. In Saturday practice it was Green who showed good pace early on followed closely by Hastings, Gouveia, Carr and Bancroft.

Mon-Tech M-10 200mm pan car bodyshell

New from Italian company Mon-Tech Racing is the M-10 bodyshell for 200mm pan cars. Moulded in strong 0.75mm polycarbonate the body offers a sleek and aggressive look for 1/10th World GT kits. Unlike some other bodies the rear wing is not part of the mould but mounted to two domes creating a dual rear wing design that does not slow down the airflow while producing a good amount of rear downforce. Included with the body come window masks, a decal sheet and mounting hardware for the rear wing.

Dominic Greiner joins Max Power

Dominic Greiner joins Max Power

Sprint RC announce the signing of German front runner Dominic Greiner to run Max Power engines for the remainder of this season and during his 2015 campaign. The Serpent driver will use the engines from the 4th and final ENS round in Fiorano on and Dominic, who will also compete at the IFMAR 200mm World in Thailand, has the following to say:

I would like to thank Picco for the help during the past two years and I look forward to further improve my racing with the help of the Max Power engines.
