Pietsch wins 2014 200mm European Championships

The 2014 EFRA European Championships for 1/10 200mm took place earlier this week in Valencia, Spain. Qualifying saw former European Champion and Mugen onroad designer Robert Pietsch take the top spot ahead of the Serpent duo of Dominik Greiner and reigning Champion Alessio Mazzeo, with Shepherd’s Simon Kurzbuch completing the top 4. In the first semi final it was HB start Teemu Leino fresh from his final at the 1/8th offroad Euros who took the win, and would start the 45 minute main final from pole position thanks to his fastest time, ahead of Alexander Thilo and Simon Kurzbuch in a race that saw Dominik Greiner failing to finish and ending up 10th. In the second semi final Robert Pietsch would take a close fought win ahead of Swiss 1/8th specialist Simon Kurzbuch in 2nd with reigning Champion Mazzeo making it through in 3rd. This semi-final would see big names Groskamp, Balestri and Dankel all fail to finish to 20 minute race.

Essex Summer Series – Update

Essex Summer Series - Update

The EWS Events team have today announced that their first outdoor event, the 2014 Essex Summer Series, has been moved to the Adur circuit on the outskirts of Brighton, Sussex. The event was set to be held at the Brookland Raceway circuit in Kent, but regrettably the facility ran out of time to make the track upgrades and changes necessary to host an event on this scale. Thankfully, the Adur Model Car Club offered their facility as an alternative, which the organising team were more than happy to accept. Arrowmax Ultra Step ride height & droop gauge

Arrowmax has released this new ride height / droop gauge combo for touring cars. Made from anodised aluminium the ride height gauge has a range from 2mm to 8mm in 0.5mm increments while the droop gauge on the other end has a range from 0.5 to 7.5 in 1mm increments.

Teamsaxo onroad car stand

Teamsaxo have released this car stand for use with a wide range of onroad cars. Made from durable aluminium, this pretty standard affair sports four rubber feet on the bottom and two strips of foam on top to stop the car from moving off your table. Featuring Teamsaxo branding on the site it is available in blue and black.

Serpent Natrix 748 hard coated chassis

New for the Serpent Natrix 748 is this hard coated 7075 T6 chassis. Offering extra durability and less flex compared to the standard chassis, as usual all holes are countersunk for an even surface while laser engraving with lines indicate the position for the chassis slide weights.

DKI Jakarta Region Championship Rd3 report

Last weekend at the North Jakarta Sunter Circuit was the final round of the 3 round series organised by Jakarta EP Touring Committee. The air temperature was between 31 to 35 degrees Celsius with the asphalt temperature reaching 56 degrees Celsius and there was three classes run at this race; Touring Super4wd, Touring Stock 13,5 and Touring FWD 13,5 non boost. Less drivers attended compared to the previous rounds however it didn’t make it any less competitive. Major teams such as XCampus participated, along with drivers from Pegasus (Associated team), Tamiya, Yokomo and Team Magic. The race was dominated by Touring Stock 13,5 class, the largest class in Indonesia.

Tuning Haus alu front steering arm sets

Tuning Haus has introduced new machined aluminium front steering arm sets to deliver a more durable, adjustable and economical high performance option for Tamiya and other F1 chassis. Steering arms are machined, tapped and etched with a Tuning Haus logo to make L/R orientation simple, while the lower profile design provides additional options for ride height adjustment. Steel axles are keyed into the steering block for accurate fit with the kingpin and are drilled and tapped 3mm for securing axle/arm assembly to the kingpin (if desired). All components in addition to optional 2.4mm offset axles are available separately.
