RDRP Ultra Step Ride Height/Droop Gauge

Revolution Design Racing Products introduce the Ultra Step Ride Height/Droop Gauge that is designed to precisely measure the ground clearance of 1/10th and 1/12th scale on-road vehicles as well as the suspension droop of touring car kits. The ground clearance part of the gauge offers an adjustment range of 2mm up to 8mm in 1mm increments while the droop setting can be measured in 0.5mm increments for improved accuracy compared to standard droop gauges. Like the other RDRP Ultra series tools the gauge is constructed from high-quality CNC-machined 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium for durability while white, laser-etched markings help with visibility during setup.

Hidetoshi Mitsusada wins at Speed King Tour Rd5

The Kazuki Endo presented 2014 Speed King Tour stopped at the Rajiten Nagoya indoor tarmac track for the 5th round of this year’s championship. Although current series points leader Akio Sobue and last year’s Speed King Yugo Nagashima were absent this event, a lot of Japanese top drivers attended to grab as much points as possible. Full scale race car driver Hidetoshi Mitsusada showed during the qualifying heats that he is also good at 1/10th scale racing as he won all three qualifying rounds to take the overall TQ in the Modified class with his Yokomo BD7 2014. Junichi Kutsuna came in 2nd and JMRCA 1/10th EP Touring Expert class champion Yusuke Goto rounded out the top 3.

Georgiadis wins at Greek Touring Series Rd6

The Fanatix Racing Track in Athens played host for the 6th round of the Greek Touring Series. The race saw the attendance of Thilo Alexander Tödtmann who came all the way from Germany to attended the race and his efforts payed off as he was in the mix to grab the overall TQ but at the end Georgiadis claimed the pole position 0.2s from Thilo. The finals again had Georgiadis and Thilo fighting for the top spot with the better end for Georgiadis who took the overall win from the German guest with local young gun Niotis completing the top 3 result.

WRC composite bearing adapters

Italian company WRC introduce composite bearing adapters to run smaller and lighter wheel bearings in 1/10th electric touring cars and many F1 chassis. Usual wheel hub bearings weigh in at around 2.3g per pair while WRC’s bearing adapters and smaller wheel bearings scrub around 1.2g a pair meaning two bearings roughly weigh more than 1.1 gram, sparing a good amount of unsprung weight. The adapter are available in sets of four while the suitable bearings come as pairs.

MC-Best Championship Rd11 & 12 – Report

The 11th and 12th round of the MC-Best nitro on-road championship was held in Aigle, Switzerland. The 11th round started out wet on Saturday but once the sun came out the track dried quickly making for good racing conditions. In the 1/8th class Stephan Eschler took the win from Roland Schläpfer and Marc Heim. The 1/10th class had Martin Wenger ending the day in the 1st spot followed by Marcel Knutti and Monika Ackermann.

After introducing a set of 3D printed 190mm touring car wings Josh Cyrul now have a third Vizon brand wing available in the form of the “High Velocity”. Manufactured using advanced 3D printing techniques the wing is strong enough to withstand some serious impacts meaning you can actually run it in competition. The special design, inspired by full scale race car bodywork, reduces drag and increases downforce to make the most out of today’s touring car bodies. Like the two previously released wings the part comes white and in a slightly grainy finish and it is highly recommended to paint the wing for flexibility and durability.
