RaceWorks Elite Racing Series Rd4 win for Lee

Rain once again hit Round 4 of the RaceWorks Elite Racing Series held on 5 May 2013 at RaceWorks’ onroad circuit in Singapore. As with Rounds 2 & 3, the overall results were based on the only qualifying run that was completed. Nicholas Lee (Team Tamiya SG) streaked to his 2nd consecutive victory, while teammate Alvin Koh once again claimed the third spot. Tamiya SG takes lead of RaceWorks Elite series

Round 3 of the inaugural season of the RaceWorks Elite Racing Series was held on 21 April 2013 at RaceWorks’ onroad circuit in Singapore. Fashioned after F1, the series features 5 ‘manufacturer’ teams of 2 drivers each competing for the overall drivers’ and team championship in the 7-race season. Christophe Louis takes French 1/8th Elite title

The final round of the French Cup for 1/8th scale was held on the Amiens track, which while is not technical is very demanding for engines with 70% max power. The National title was already won by Ramella Pairin in the 4th round but in the Elite class Christophe Louis and Anthony Abisset were still in with a chance of taking the title. Matsukura takes 3rd consecutive World title

Team Yokomo’s Naoto Matsukura has joined a very elite group of drivers after the 18-year-old secured his third consecutive 1:12 World Championship title in the Netherlands ahead of CRC’s Andy Moore, the result going to a tie break that was decided by Matsukura’s faster Leg 1 winning race time. Ramella wraps up French National class title

…to be run. Having struggled in qualification he changed to a safer driving style in the semi and the A-main and it paid off. He lead immediately and kept an eye on local racer Reza Khelili till the last pit stop. Then he pushed a bit harder and put a lap between them. This result cements a great year for Cedric who was already in the top ten at the Euro B’s in Thionville. Léo Arnold wins French 200mm Nats Rd4

The fourth round of the French nitro touring car National Championships took place last weekend in Sallanches (Haute-Savoie) in France. In the Elite class it was European B Champion Frederic Bourrillon that too the top qualifying spot with his Orion powered KM chassis, while in the National class Capricorn/OS driver Vincent Berthon was the TQ man. In the Elite finals Capricorn/Orion driver Léo Arnold came out on top ahead of team mate Basile Concialdi in 2nd with Xray/RB driver Thomas Guillon 3rd. Romain Picard wins French 1/8th national opener

The opening round of the French 1/8th on road national championships was held in Neuville le Poitou last weekend. There weer 30 drivers in the Elite Class and 47 in the National Class and dry but cold and windy conditions greeted all the drivers. In qualifying for the Elite class it was former World Champion Adrien Bertin that took the pole position ahead of Stéphane Bouche in 2nd, while in the National class it was Nicolas Rosado with the fastest time.
