BRCA Truggy & E8 championship Rd4 – Report

BRCA Truggy & E8 championship Rd4 – Report

This past weekend the BRCA Truggy and E8 championship moved South to the newly revamped dirt track at Kent. The morning skies had a little moisture in them to welcome the drivers. The 6 minute practice session that both classes had was a little greasy but still allowed the drivers and marshals to get a feel of the new layout. Round 1 started with the E8 buggy doing there first qualifying run out of 3, with the best 2 to count. This resulted in an assortment of lap times with Kevin Brunsden fastest in heat 1 and Elliot Boots fastest in heat 2. By the time the Truggy class started the track was starting to loose the damp shine. Heat one of the Truggy class was won by Tony Truman and heat 2 by young Oliver Currie.

MIP TC02 & TC02T 17.5 Pucks drive systems

MIP TC02 & TC02T 17.5 Pucks drive systems

Team C’s TC02 2W buggy and TC02T stadium truck are the latest vehicles to receive MIP’s Pucks drive systems treatment. Both sets are of the 17.5 specification, meaning they are specially designed for stock class racing as they include lightweight aluminium C-CVD driveshafts and aluminium outdrives making them ideal for spec racing due to the lower weight and rotational mass compared to the standard steel items. Included with the drive systems also come the name giving Pucks drive pin cushions, that make for a smoother and easier to maintain drivetrain, as well as steel wheel axles and new thrust races.

Updated Team C TC02C buggy coming?

Updated Team C TC02C buggy coming?

Team C recently revitalised the TC02C 4-gear mid motor buggy with the introduction of a gear differential conversion kit and now the proactive Asian company shows a first image of a TC02C “Evo” bodyshell. It is understood that many Team C team drivers requested a more “conventional” mid motor buggy as the company’s TM2 in-line mid motor buggy excels on very high grip surfaces but the ever present torque steering, due to its longitudinally mounted motor, gives the buggy a life of its own on medium-bite tracks and this is where the TC02C (Evo) buggy would kick in. Previously the Evo range marked the hop-up variants of existing buggies so you can expect the TC02C Evo to sport a variety of performance and durability enhancing options. We bring you more information on what appears to be Team C’s next project as soon as they become available.
